And it was a nice start for us in exploring what Singapore has to offer. We walked our way to the different sights when the kids are energetic and relaxed. Also, we took advantage of the efficient mass transit system in traversing to and from our hotel. With regards the YMCA house, I guess they are currently renovating to improve their facilities. I hope the construction, once finish, would add some light to the lobby. Also, I hope the renovations would include the re-painting of the rooms, our room would certainly appreciate a fresh coat of paint. Maybe, the only negative feedback I could cite would be the tone of voice of one or two personnel in the breakfast area. We all start the day with breakfast, and our outlook for the entire day would always be influence by the people we meet during this important meal.

YMCA is in the center of everything - near the MRT station (about 200 meters), near Cathay Mall and Park Mall (2 beautiful malls), near Fort Canning Park, near Sim Lim Square (500 meters), near Chjimes (300 meters), near Lucky Plaza (where you can exchange your dollars to Sing $) with higher value. near HMV, etc. Thank you.

Would recommend.

Whilst the hotel is totally smokefree, there was still a slight smoke smell in the furniture and room from the days gone by. We enjoyed the food and the breakfasts. We found that the bottom bathroom door frame required repair as it was rotting away, however it did not put us off. The staff was efficient and polite. Internet access with one's own laptop in the room should be free.
