The hotel is close to everything on Kowloon side - MTR, Star Ferry, Cultural Centre, shopping centres, restaurants and cafes, China and Macau ferries etc. The hotel very kindly upgraded us to a suite with a fabulous view of the harbour, which was very much appreciated.

The cafetieria food is of the over cooked English syle. The room was very good for the price. It fully met my expectations.

The foyer had a strong smell of chlorine while I was there, which was a bit offputting. I was lucky enought o be upgraded so had one of the best views in HK.. it is a great room for working. I could just plug in my computer and sit with the sun streaming in the window with agood cup of tea.

Again these values are based on value for dollars as opposed to 5 star comparison.A map giving more detailed directions on how to get to the Star and Macau ferrys and a list of nearby resturants would be helpful The above answers are based on the value for the money as opposed to comparison to a 5 star.When you replace the TVs be sure there is a video port so that visitors may review their films and pictures.

We always stay at Salisbury when we visit HK. Very nice service. Bathroom was very neat and clean. Frequent change of towels was nice. Staff was friendly and courteous.
