If there is any place to stay away from home, with all the comforts of home and more, including the beautiful character of historical Melbourne, then the Hotel Windsor is the most exquisite place to stay. The service can not be faulted. Thank you to the staff who went our of their way to be pleasant and really made us feel special. We will be back again withoug a doubt!

I would definitely recommend this hotel, the decor was beautiful, staff were helpful and friendly, food and service were great. It was a pleasure just to walk through the front doors.

I have stayed at many international hotels and the Windsor is up there with the best.

The staff were most helpful, pleasant and nothing was too much trouble to assist in making our stay a most enjoyable experience.

We will be making the Windsor our hotel when in Melbourne.

A beautiful old hotel with great character and charm. Helpful and attentive staff ensure that your stay at the Windsor is a special experience.

Helpful, courteous staff who were willing to assist at all times. Lovely decor in keeping with the age of the hotel.

Was a bit disappointed to see theroom rate double for our last night there. Didn't realize the Grand Prix was coming to town when we booked or we would have left a day early for Sydney. We liked the pillows, the seating (sofa & chairs)- very comfortable room after many hours walking the city

Hotel didn't have a pool or workout facility which is understandable for a vintage hotel. The concierge service was often wrong in their directions (e.g., told us to take the wrong tram and after walking 1+ mile, we caught a cab to go to a restaurant) or weren't as knowledgeable as we would have liked (e.g., restaurants). We were very happy with the room - they upgraded us to a suite which made our 8 days there much more comfortable.

Loved the atmosphere and found the staff most informative. It is such a change to find such tradition and character. We found the facilities first class, the staff very friendly and efficient.

Excellent in every respect

Splendid halls,corridors and restaurant,and staircase,decor,it is interesting to have details on the history linked to this hotel and to be able to buy souvenirs from the hotel itself, we liked the class welcome at the reception, concierge desk and restaurant, the atmosphere in the pub "the cricketter". Fortunately there is a door to prevent the light from the corridor to be seen when in bed.

Helpfull and friendly staff. Towel rack on top of bath restricts movement, easy to hit.

Convenient to get to. There is a subway station just a few mins walk from the hotel. The room was beautifully decorated. However the bath tub is looking very worn out and the base of the tub was chipped badly.

We were upgraded from the Windsor to the Victorian suite (apartment)
