quiet and dark surrouding after 7p,also no counter receptionist and no room telephone connection after 7p. quiet room, attrctive price for single traveller

Builders on site effected ambience Room window had to be closed at all time because of biulders working in courtyard.Coffee and milk not replenished every day

Great old building and well done up. Just the renovations/noise that detracted but was well made up with the offer of free breakfast throughout my stay. Excellent staff, excellent decor and quality rooms and bathrooms. Room was smaller than I had expected from the online photos. Would have loved complementary bottled water.

The hotel, once renovations are completed will be nice and location is good but staff were less than stellar and service was mediocre. Bathroom in my room was so small the hotel did not install shower curtain so floor got very wet as did sink and toilet. Strange set up.

GOOD VALUE FOR FAIRLY CENTRAL HOTEL. STAFF VERY HELPFUL. LACK OF STORAGE SPACE IN BATHROOM FOR TOILETRIES ETC, ALSO BLIND IN BATHROOM COULD NOT BE RAISED. PITY ABOUT ON-GOING RENOVATION DURING OUR STAY.

Renovation in progress was off-putting, but not a major inconvenience. Early morning smell of cooked breakfast throughout hotel not ideal, if that's not what you're going to eat. Proximity to Darling harbour a +. In sum, not bad for the money. Generally comfortable. Good shower. Poor working space (no desk in the first room I stayed). Mediocre facilities for internet communication. Noisy at night, being next to main road. Always like kettle in room for tea first thing.

generally hotel was good but there should be a smoking corner in my opinion. Also reception and resturant closes too early in the evening windows could not be opened though as per their brochure the windows were supposed to open ,TV has very limited channels, their was continuous civil work going on in hotel and noises of drill machines and other civil works item were very tormenting

i was very pleased with this hotel found it very reasnonable in price and the staff were very friendly and helpful its location is great about five minutes to walk to the citys main st i would highly reccomend this hotel very nice rooms comfortable beds and air con there is also an in room fridge which is convienent

We found the hotel had every thing we required, staff were very helpful with information we required.

Breakfasts were badly cooked lighting rather poor for reading in bed, toilet cistern was faulty

As I was a late booking for 9 nights, I had a noisy room on the street (Wattle); altho that did not bother me - I sleep like a log! - it could bother some people. The room was small, but it was fine for what I wanted; the same goes for the amenities - it had all I wanted, but I did not want a lot.

no lift: 2 floors but the sevice is good and also the ambient the rooms are very differents, but the standard is good

Interesting building. Nice breakfast room. good value for money. Could have done with bedside light both sides of bed and a bedhead. Bathroom very good. Daughters in a bigger room which was better.

Some of the staff were lovely - others seemed uninterested. I thought that we made the reservation at a cheaper special rate than what we were charged, and although we only made one brief phone call, the bill was large. Any concern was just shrugged off. Room was a little plain and there was no hand towel. TV was on top of tall cupboard - a little hard to see from the beds but there was nowhere else to sit.
