Since 1846, Volcano House Hotel Hawaii , the historically famous hotel is located on the summit rim of the Kilauea Caldera and nestled in an Ohia forest right inside of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. When i was checking in, there was some confusion as they had been informed of a different date of check-in. fortunately, it was sorted out very fast. . Its a pity that there is no facilities like coffeemaker.

Kids appreciated that there was a piano in the lobby for anyone who wanted to play. . Room easily accomdated a roll-away - it was placed between the two double beds. it worked out great for us!

We were promised a non-smoking king room. Instead we were given two twin beds in a smoking room in the basement. It was so damp that we got mold in some new clothing, which has been almost impossible to remove.
