A unique location- one of a kind. Service staff and restaurant staff very courteous and helpfull. Room was simple but quaint, in a unique environment (National Park). Made use of the fireside lounge at the end of the hall. Very nice.

We were promised a non-smoking King room. Instead we were given two twin beds in a smoking room in the basement. It was so damp that we got mold in some new clothing, which has been almost impossible to remove.

the "lodge" was a great choice. Could not beat the "atmosphere." Our only negative comment might be on the dinner choice - restaurant was expensive and we were disappointed in our only on-site dinner meal - so we went off site for dinner. Room was great. View was fabulous!

When I was checking in, there was some confusion as they had been informed of a different date of check-in. Fortunately, it was sorted out very fast. Its a pity that there is no facilities like coffeemaker.

Kids appreciated that there was a piano in the lobby for anyone who wanted to play. Room easily accomdated a roll-away - it was placed between the two double beds. It worked out great for us!

It might be time for a little upgrade here and there. I know the feel of the place is supposed to be a cozy retreat...but those little, noise box heaters are just that (too noisy to keep on while sleeping). Maybe a little paint here and there...You can update things without losing the charm, I think.

The room were incredibly noisy. We could hear our neighbors talking and singing. And we thought the people upstairs were going to come through our ceiling at any minute.

Can't beat the location. Stay long enough to see volcano, which is awesome. Needs refurbishing. Very small room/bathroom. Like an old house turned into a hotel.
