The mattress was well past the best by date. Saggy, more like a hammock. But a great location beside Victoria Station, helpful staff and a very good English breakfast.
royal treatment in a 4 star!
On entrance to the hotel we were overewhelmed by the beautiful designer foyer and modern bar and restaurant.the staff treated us like royalty and immediatley gave us keys to our room even though we arrived at lunchtime.Beware the unmentioned deposit for extras though, £50 per night cash or £25 per night credit card payment.obviously you get this back if you dont wreck the room! as soon as we entered our room the door was knocked and our wine delivered chilled. The room was immaculate, the bathroom like yould see in a magazine and we were well equipped with tea facilities and wine coolers. on saturday i had the misfortune of a migrane and spent the whole day in the room.I ordered room service which was quick' reasonably priced and delicious. The following night we ate in the resaurant which was phenomenal both for service and quality. Again the staff here couldnt do enough for us. The bar was a little on the expensive side but had a great range of drinks and concoctions! on checking out we were treated with the same courtesy as when we checked in and the concierge looked after our bags. The hotel was a stones throw from the apollo theatre and victoria station which meant we could travel anywhere we liked at any time of day for £3.50 per day. We are going back next week and also plan to spend our honey moon here next year, ive never been so impressed and spent so little at the same time!
