I stayed recently at the hotel and was dismayed by the fact that the hotel could not organize a hot water repair affecting much of the building , overnight. Instead it had to wait until 8 o clock when staff arrived. I had an interview at nine. No shower. Sent by staff to the Gym. Locked. Lackadaisical service. Bought 24 hours internet connection but not told it would not work on wireless and would actually expire when I checked out , about 16 hours later. In short renovations dont make a good hotel and this one needs to dig deeper before I would recommend it. Not great

FOUND THE HOTEL TO BE VERY WELL SITUATED TO SHOPS, TRAMS AND SEVERAL AMENITIES,STAFF FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND HAVING A BAR AND LOUNGE TO RELAX IN, SITUATED IN THE MOTEL WAS EXCELLENT, VERY HAPPY WITH MY STAY WOULDN'T HESITATE TO STAY THERE AGAIN.

The hotel location is very convenient and at the heart of the city. We can walk to main streets, China town and tram stations... I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Excellent location Close to main train station in the city centre (Flinders) which makes all in city and suburban derstinations readily available at affordable prices as well as the Skybus which is an inexpensive and convenient transfer to and from the airport. Very good amenities in the room. Hotel has been recently renovated but it holds the charm of a historic building in the city centre. Front desk even provides fresh milk for your in - room tea and coffee! I would return next visit to Melbourne. Price makes this one of the best located and reasonably prices in the city!

We were really happy with the Victoria Hotel, Melbourne. It couldn't be more central. The room was quite large with enough space for a couple of armchairs and coffee table. It had a window that could be opened (although very noisily) and so had the bathroom. Everything was very clean. We took advantage of the gym where most of the equipment was in working order. We had chosen the "bed and breakfast" option and the breakfast buffet was really great.

The reception staff were verty courteous and helpful in pointing out directions and with check in and check out procedures.

the only negative was the building that was taking place quite close which was quite noisy on the Saturday afternoon.

The location of this hotel is central and can reach shopping area, railway station, eating places, the casino, the Yara River walk,etc within minutes. The staff are always courteous helpful and can provide useful information when confronted.

Overall, I would certainly recommend staying at this hotel for a few nights and for the convenient location. The studio rooms are comfortable and of an average size.

When I arrived having travelled from 8am. until 5pm. I was warmly welcomed and efficiently serviced so I could get up to my room and unwind before seeing my daughter. The room was home like and comfortable and served my needs well. And the location was paramont as I only had one night to catch up with my daughter. It is very conveniently placed in easy walking distance to restaurants and the railway station, and theatres too. Yes, I was happy I chose the Victoria, it was great.

the hotel is in a very convenient position, close to the Yarra and museum,and all the Chinese shops.

A little noisy on the road side double glazing would be appreciated., but it is not offensive, I still slept well

The Hotel is walking distance to most city tourist attractions and shopping'close to all transport. It was very quiet and we felt safe,air conditioner and fridge runs quiet.
