- Is the hotel in a convenient location? we had no transportation from the train and went on foot uphill with our wheeled luggage not aware of the steepness of the hill.
- Was the food served up to par? We do not waste money on food.
No regrets, room and view and location perfect otherwise.

On the whole our stay was good, but I just feel we should have been told the hotel was being refurbished, our room was a bit shabby, ie paint flaking off the wall and the bathroom was waterdamaged and yukky looking around the bath. Im sure it was not a health risk just looked it. The picture in the lift showing how the rooms will look was comforting the sound of the jackhammer above you when you wake up on holiday was not. A complimentary breakfast should have been a sweetener to offset the building noise.

I found the staff approachable, helpful, polite knowledgable and very professional.

Staff were very courteous and helpful. Bathroom in need of refurbishment yet was very clean. Bath was problematic in that the floor got flooded every time the plug was pulled after bathing. Location is very convenient with the CBD a very short walk away

Was of the understanding that bkfst was included in the reservation booked, informed not so. Happy with the facilities supplied.

I found your staff at the front desk to be extremely helpful. Also your dining room staff was excellent and the dinner meal very good and a good value for the money. I do feel that you should improve the appearence of the hallways on the room floors when one gets off the elevators. The appearence on my floor was dingy and dirty. The room was not.It was clean and quite satisfactory.

On arrival we were told hotel was full and that the room my daughter had requested was taken we were then given another room which was not superior, but my daughter had paid for a superior room. My daughter booked and paid for a superior room for us. What we got was a standard room. No lounge no kitchen area just a very small bedroom and bathroom. We stayed here as my daughter had previously stayed in your hotel in a superior room but we were very dissappointed and once we arrived in NZ my daughter was furious that having paid for superior we were given standard.

We were comfortable and felt it was good value. Personally I find airconditioned rooms cold and airless - I guess I could have turned it off and opened a window...?

horrible experience. We were put in a room next to the elevator and they were working on the elevator. We did not stay the second night even though it was paid for in advance. We moved to the Astor Metropole for less money and a fantastic stay (4nights just 2 blocks away). We did try to get them to move our room and we were told that due to the rate we paid that was the only room available.

Personally I like a hotel to be better located and of a higher caliber, but this was reasonable for the price I suppose The room had stained ceilings and smelled strongly of disinfectant with undertones of fried fish and urine. The finishes throughout the room were very dated and the lamps were 20 years or more out of date. The bed was relatively comfortable but the whole look of the room and bathroom was unpleasant.
