Overview
The United Hotel is situated in the heart of Taipei City directly adjacent to the Taipei World Trade Center. United Hotel's cosmopolitan surroundings offer extraordinary nightlife, with the Metro and all public transportation just a minute away. An example of vibrant Eastern hospitality, at the United Hotel, colours and materials have been taken from nature and placed in a jostling metropolis, bringing balance and perspective in the cycle of hurry. The sense of space extends from the lobby, with its angular planes, to the restaurant.
This restaurant was designed like a section taken from the spokes of a wheel, with spatial pockets pushing outwards from the hub, creating private zones in a public di ing hall. The hotel's Shanghai and Slate cafes caters mouth-watering east-west fusion cuisine, spicing up the overall experience. 243 rooms, inclusive of 17 suites, repeat lobby's colour scheme in cool greys, warm browns and soft cream, plus the use ofcherry wood and organic fabrics. Oversized windows give full-length picturesque sceneries from dusk to dawn. Low Cassina furniture and minimalist draperies give the modern touches and maximize light and space. Cool, without being cold, this sense of space and tranquillity brings forth the sense of place and spatial harmony, albeit withina bustling community. The United Hotel Taipei was the first of the Design Hotels in all of Taiwan.
