Recommendation: By Ms.CHEE KHEE (Vanessa) CH'NG Malaysia This was my first time visited bali. I chose to stay in ubud inn coz it is far away from the city. I wish to stay away from the noisy city life. It is about one hour drive from the airport. This really a good place to stay. As everybody explained in ... here, outside the room, you will see the beautiful garden with the balinese culture statue and fountain. Although it cannot compare with the 5-star hotel, you can experienced the balinese life over there. Peaceful, simple and nice. The staff all in ubud inn are very friendly and helpful.
one weakness i found in ubud inn is, the room in the second floor is wooden built. So, whoever walk around the floor, the down stair people (another room) can hear very clear. So, sometime cannot sleep very well especially for the light sleeper. The people who stay up stair also cannot sleep well if the down stair people talking at night.
so, think properly - whether you guy can accomodate in this type of hotel, if you can, then this is a good place for you. If you are a light sleeper, then my suggestion is better you choose other hotel. You sure cannot sleep well. ^_*

Recommendation: By Ms.Suzi Scher USA The ubud inn and spa was a delight to stay in. I really enjoyed in. the most impressive thing about it were the gardens. i felt surrounded in paradise every morning and night when i walked through there. the room was nice, included ac, tv, phone. ... the bathroom was ok, not fabulous, but worked out fine. the basin around the sink, i don't think was the cleanest. fortunately, i pack with ziploc bags, so i never set anything down on the counter. also, the shower. . . Upon arrival, i had to have them come remove a cockroach, but that was the only thing i saw. There was not a shower curtain, just a tub and shower and no window coverings. that was a strange experience, but there were only trees surrounding the windows. the grout in the tile not great. the beds, terrific. the patio would have been nice, but the cushions on the chairs needed a bit of cleaning. a lovely breakfast was served and the staff was there for your every whim. the location is centrally located on monkey forest road, an active place for shops, restaurants and shows. fantastic. i truly loved every moment.
Recommendation: By Mrs.Susan Cannon Great central location on monkey forest road. Beautiful garden with good sized pool. (bit short of pool furniture/ lounger pads. ) friendly and helpful staff. Ask to see a couple of rooms as standards vary with different ages of rooms.
