It is my first trip to Cherating and based on reviews, I decided to stay at The Legend Resort Hotel Cherating. Upon arrival, the reception counter staff is very courteous and rich with smile. He assisted me politely and professionally. The room is clean and tidy but I would say it's quite basic for a 4 star hotel. They could use a new blanket as the one the gave me it's a bit worn out and have a few stain mark. The TV channel is very basic and The Legend still using Vision 4 channel. There is no HBO, Star Movie or even Star World. They only have free-to-air local channel. Vision 4 and news channel (BBC, CNN). Hair dryer provided in the room is the wall mounted type. It's merely just blow the air instead of hot air. Breakfast has a limited choices and the menu is the same for my entire stay. The Legend has a big and clean pool. I'm happy with their pool size. The deepest depth is 6ft which is not always available at most hotel. The beach in front of the hotel is clean. The Legend provide a few beach sport facilities and also some water sport equipment at reasonable rate.

The location is considering very strategic where you can enjoy swimming either in the beach or pool. It is not far from special food of Terengganu like keropok lekor, nasi dagang, pulut pagi etc with reklatively very cheap, and the most importantly most of them are tasty and could feel their originality.

I was promissed by the Holiday City there were breakfast included in the given rate. But When I went there the rate was higher and there was no breakfast provided. How Sad. There was no bathroom carpet. When comming out from the bathroom no carpet to dryclean your feet.
