Hotel was good with friendly staff. This is our second visit and would be happy to visit again Very good location, but it seemed the beach had more litter than on our previous visit. Hotels in Langkawi seem quite expensive now compared with other locations in the region. Will have to think twice before returning.

A very eco-and environment friendly hotel conveniently located at Pantai Cenang. The beach area was superbly clean and serene. You get to enjoy very beautiful sunset by just chilling out at the beach front, sipping a cocktail or reading a book. Me and my partner had a enjoyable stay at the hotel. The service standard by the staff was responsive and knowledgeable. The food and accomodation was up to standard and very neat and clean. We had the luxury of meeting the owner of the hotel (Mr. Wong) who showed us around his eco-friendly hotel premises and what he and his staff had done to converse energy, re-cycling items and protecting mother nature. We're certainly impressed by the passion of him and his team where they had organize educational walks and instilling a level of awareness for both tourists and within their local community. We'd defintely be back in this hotel for our next vacation trip. A great hotel for couples and families where you get to enjoy the most natural ambience, good breakfast spread and very friendly service staff!

The hotel may be known for its Green efforts which is commendable. However, the interior and the services offered were not up to the standard. There were a lot of foreigners staying at the hotel and they must be wondering about the hospitality of Malaysians as the staff did not even bother to greet the guests. The building requires renovation, at least a new coat of paint.

This is very much a mid-range resort hotel so don't expect too much. The rooms were generally fine; big enough with a few satellite channels on the TV, desk & chair, sofa and an ensuite bathroom. The only complaint I have in this regard is that the shower was outdoors (though private) which allowed mosquitoes and the odd cockroach into the main bathroom. The staff at the hotel were typically Malaysian - courteous and friendly - but I got the impression they were a bit out of their depth. Many of them wore 'Trainee' badges. We ordered lunch one day - just a few sandwiches - and it took close to an hour for the food to arrive and even then it arrived one meal at a time so the whole family ended up eating at separate times. Another time we wanted to play pool in the evening, which required exchanging some money for game tokens, but when we requested these they said they'd run out! The hotel has few facilities for families. There is a mediocre swimming pool and access to the beach (but the waves and rips are too strong for children) and two pool tables. But that's about it. We found the restaurant to be quite poor. There were too many poeple in the mornings for breakfast even though the resort didn't appear full and the choice was quite limited. We ate there once in the evenings, but didn't bother again after that as it was overpriced and not great. On the plus side, you are well located at the Frangipani with good access to some excellent restaurants, shops and car hire nearby. In summary, it wasn't terrible, but as I said at the beginning, it is firmly mid-range. I wouldn't go again, but if you are a couple looking for a reasonably inexpensive base in Langkawi you could do worse.

I travelled for the first time to Malaysia with my family, two adults and 4 children 11-19 years of age. The hotel was a pleasant surprise, located near the sea, with a nice swimmingpool, beautiful 1-2 room houses, excellent breakfast and a polite and helpful staff. We went snorkelling with East Marine and rented a car and travelled around the Island visiting the Bird wildlife, Crocodile farm and met monkeys when bathing at a beach on the north side.

Price wise is not the cheapest but still worthwhile. Tour agent and front desk staff quite helpful when we needed to book tour and rent car. Location believe is one of the best...very quite and relaxing at same time few minutes from happening areas...but would recomment renting a car. Breakfast has good variety of food and good quality. Overall very good room with all details in place. Only missed curtain in the bathtub to prevent spilling water all over bathroom floor.

We found out as we were checking out that they do provide tea and coffee making facilities in room BUT you have to ask for it. Fortunately we have friends living there and they lent us everything we needed.

the way blankets are used on the beds is very unhygienic (they are not covered with sheets, and judging by their appearance, seldomly washed).

The hotel is in a good location for shops and restaurants. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are good value for money. Coffee / tea making facilities would make them better.

Hotel under renovation and will be pricey after that. The restaurant serves quite nice food and a reasonable price. Outdoor shower is a plus point.

The beach is the only thing attractive of the hotel. The food quality served during breakfast is bad and not hygienic. a lot of flies feasting with us!

the facing sea chalet is wonderful. we could walk into sea after get-up directly. if the room facility could be upgraded would be better, as the glass door is not easy for open and close.

This hotel is definitely not worth the price it quotes. There wasn't much facilities. The hotel staff were not well trained enough. The concierge promised to bring a table to our room so that we can order room service for dinner. Reminded them after 10 min, the table was still not sent. Finally when the food was delivered, the staff told us they do not have any tables available for us. Expect us to eat on the bed/ on the floor/ on the stool on the balcony!!! And not even a word of apologies. There was no floor mat. We had to request for one. The towels looks dirty with brown stains. No face towel. Toiletries were not refilled. Air con leaks.

Excellent location and attentive service. Needed tea/coffee making facilities in rooms. Needed some more furniture, eg a couch. Rooms are being renovated and this will be added I think.
