Tatami Hampton Hotel is located in the heart of Mongkok and therefore very convenient getting around to all the local attractions. The hotel is just about 20 seconds walk to the bus stop that brings one to all corners of Kowloon and a service no. 21A right to the doorsteps of the airport. It is also a couple of minutes walk to the Mongkok MTR Station. My poor ratings for the hotel's ambience, facilities, amenities and size truely commensurates with Tatami being a budget hotel and does not reflect upon it as being a bad hotel. Truely, Vincent

The rooms are very small, but that is in the price. All facilities 'worked' and rooms were clean and bed comfortable and wireless internet worked well in the lobby (though not in the room). This Hotel is most suitable for anyone who is intending to be out and about during the day/evening or visiting Hong Kong for short perfuntionary reasons such Visa replacement etc. If you intend to spend evenings in your room then you might be at the wrong place and in the wrong price bracket.

When I got to the hotel, the staff were very courteous and honest to let me see the room first for my satisfaction as i told them that we were three in the room( two adults and 1 child). I was disappointed of the size of the available room (middle room, no window).Told them that i'm not comfortable and that i need a bigger room.But non available at that time.So they told me that it's okay not to get the room and that i won't be charge for not checking-in in their hotel. I ask for a consideration to hold the room for me until 2pm, and that i will try to look for a bigger room in the nearby hotel.Very accomodating and understand my situation, they grant my request and was a ble to find a room in othert hotel. I will definitely try Tatami next time I'll travel alone or book for a bigger room next time.

Located in a busy area of Mongkok it is badly fitted and the rooms are tiny. The staff were friendly but i would not recommend anyone to stay there. The external walls to our room were glass ceiling to floor and we could not sleep anywhwhere near the window

The staff was discourteous and unhelpful. The room was small, dirty and unpleasant in every way. The plumbing and electrical were outside of the wall, the carpeting was torn and the one small window so dirty that you couldn't see through it. The cab driver that dropped me off indicated that this was a "rough" area.
