The main problem with our stay was the Room, in particular the shower, after some discussion this was sorted out. We also had some issue with the Food in the 24 hour cafeteria, however after speaking with the Chef this was also sorted out. Overall the staff was friendly and the hotel has potential to do better

Excellent hotel which is a bit dated and could do with a revamp. The service was impeccable and the food excellent. Very good value for your money!

We had no complaints really here, the service was excellent and the staff vey helpful, polite and friendly. In particular I would like to recomend the friendliness and service of the staff in the bar where we spent many a night for pre-dinner drinks. Also, I would recommend a visit to the Steak & Grill House where you will be treat fabulously and served some of the best food in the hotel! Incidentally, the Chinese restaurant could take some pointers from them, it was disappointing to say the least in here. The staff were clueless and the food was not that great although nice. Will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Sri Lanka.

The hotel by and far met my expectations. I would like to make suggesstion. The hotel should also cater for its muslim residents and open a resturant or at least a corner hwere "halal" food is available for them. The location is excellent. Breakfast should be complimentary.

There was some renovation going on in the hotel at the time that I was there, it was not inconvenient as it did not interfere with my routine, but was a bit noisy during the day. The pool was closed for renovations while I was there as well, but I didn't learn of this until check-in. Enjoyed my stay very much nonetheless. The room was recently renovated - it was plain but comfortable. The was a problem with the key card electricity ... in that it often cut out as the key card kept popping out of its slot. In this hotel the sea and pool are on opposite sides of the buidling so you get either seaview or poolview. I was on the pool view side but did not have a view of the pool (it was quite far away) and was under renovation anyway. I had a view of the parking lot.

The bathroom wasn't particularly clean or nice: rather small, a bit dingy.

Gym: carpet should be removed, not very healthy! TV satelite provider doesn't carry French/Italian/Spanish channels, contrary to other hotels.

The hotel had a general air of tiredness about it, and is in need of updating. I believe this has already begun and look forward to seeing it when finished. The service around the pool needs to be improved,while friendly and polite, it took a long time to get any service ..... this is especially relevant on weekends when people have more time to relax by the pool. The doors to the balcony did not close very well and could do with double glazing, as the rooms at the front of the hotel get a lot of noise from Galle Face Green & the traffic. The room could do with LAN/WAN connection, rather than dial-up.
