Cronulla - Located south of Sydney, Cronulla is basically a beach-culture destination where most activities revolved around the sea. Surfing, fishing, whale watching, sun-tanning, and snorkeling and scuba diving are all the rage here. Surfers, both the amateur and the pros would enjoy tackling the waves at popular places such as the Cronulla Point and Shark Island. Meanwhile, Botany Bay and Port Hacking are great for snorkeling and scuba diving, and Cape Solander on the Kurnell Peninsula is the place to catch a glimpse of the humpback whales. There are some fantastic Aboriginal rock engravings in Jibbon Beach courtesy of the Dharawal people. You can also take a ferry to Bundeena, a lovely village in the Royal National Park, on the first Sunday of the month to visit the Art Trail or just go off road with your 4WD at the Boat Harbour 4WD Park.
