Se above. It was not a Club Room as we knew from the Strand {alace. No place to sit, only one uncomfortable chair. The restaurants were a disappointment: Ciancone, which used to be excellent, is closed, the Carvery was a joke VERY poor selection; Johnston's was very good.

Excellent value for money and well situated for Covent Garden. I alerted the hotel to the fact that the water from the shower was very hot - it was not possible to add cold water. This could have been dangerous for an elderly person or a child. The hotel took immediate action to rectify the fault.

It was perfectly adequate for the purpose and the price paid.

Corridor was very smoky, although I had a No smoking room corridor stank

Had problems checking in as they didn't have it on the system that I had already paid and expected me to provide them with a credit card statement proving this or call my bank to verify! The payment had happened as I had a statement at home 100 miles away, I gave thm your details to check with you and in the end it was resolved but stressful way to start the break. As the room was very small, it got very very hot! The window only opened half way and the large mirror that was fixed to the dressing table blocked any air flow. There were no fans or cooling devise. I was awake unablt to sleep due to the heat (it was not a hot weekend 19 degrees) at 6.30am and had to go for a walk outside to cool down - not exactly comfortable sleep! The full length mirror was on the inside of the wardrob door, but to see yourself you have to get in the wardrobe!

The staff was pleasant but difficult. Registration guy kept announcing my room number. Other services were promised but not performed in a timely manner. made me late for my service to the airport. Needs to have a safe in the Itwas very cramped/

No possibility to check in before 2 pm No air Conditionned . It was very hot in London

A good breakfast and an ideal location. Could do with its own fitness suite. Bar areas fine with adequate beer A hot night and the room had very little ventilation - unpleasant sleeping that evening. Room small, claustrophobic and unbearable in heat. Need a fan facilty for such evenings.

Perfect position in London and lovely staff I stay in a few hotels but in this hotel it provides one of the best and nicest single rooms.

I have stayed there before and will do so again. But last time a full English breakfast was included in the price. This time there was no breakfast. So I'll probably book through another operator. I asked for and was given a non-smoking room but somebody had been smoking there.

FOR THE PRICE THE ROOM WAS DISGRACEFUL IN SIZE. tHE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE END OF THE BED AND THE tv WAS APPROX 12 INCHES, BEARLY ENOUGH TO PASS, EITHER TOUCHING THE BED OR TV EACH TIME. NO DRESSING GOWN IN ROOM HAD TO BE REQUESTED. ASKED FOR BETTER ROOM AND ADVISED NO NON-SMOKING ROOMS LEFT. THE 320 EXTRRA WAS THE COST OF THE WATER PUT IN ROOM. VERY POOR STANDARD.BREAKFAST WAS THE BEST VALUE

Superb location. Rather smaller and noisier than other rooms we have had at the S P.

Staff freindly and helpfull. Close and convenient for walking and buses. Saved nearly 110 pounds per night! booking on internet!! through Holidaycity Had been warned about size of European accomodation but was larger than given expectation of!! Noise level was also a lot better than expected.Would have liked bar fridge, iron, ironong board , was ice maker and clod drinks in lift foyer and ironing stuff available via contact to housekeeping

Despite room concerns, the rate that I had still meant that I had value for money. Very small with poor sound insulation. Radiator didnt work, no mini bar, no internet connection.

Quiet room, small but functional for an overnight stay. We always stay at this hotel when visiting the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and have always booked previuos visits through Holiday City and will continue to do so.

Very convenient to many sights and shows, but room much smaller than we expected.

Ideal for theartres and covent garden very central just right for our needs.

Noisy at night due to street traffic

The English breakfast used to be the best in town but over the last couple of years the quality has gone down hill. There is no fruit salad anymore and the sausages are horrible ! When we arrived the first room we were alocated was tiny but I phoned the house manager and he had it changed immediately which was fine.

No food after theatre. Bar man very slow, surly and scruffy.
