Staff were very courteous and helpful The position is excellent for all sorts of activities. The food was very good we had our family Christmas lunch in the River Room, the quality of the food was excellent, however the menu did vary from the original menu sent to us when booking, the drinks package was very limited and overall was not value for money, we would choose the hotel again no problem but not for Christmas lunch, much better value for money available. The service and food at the Christmas lunch was excellent, just not value for money. The Stamford Plaza would be in my opinion one of the best hotels in Brisbane and my above mentioned comments were for one event only.

the hotel room was just what we'd hoped for, large bed, large bathroom which even had a tv in so you didn't miss anything whislt in the bath. the hotel staff we're really helpful and considering they had a number of weddings on whilst we were staying they made us feel just as welcome. unfortunatley during our stay it did nothing but rain, but with such a lovely hotel to retreat to it didn't ruin our stay in brisbane. the only slight problem we saw was that the games area above the bar could of done with a makeover and during our stay one of the hotels resturants wasn't open for no explanation. however that is being very picky considering what a wonderful hotel is. highly recommend.

Too busy a time over Christmas to get top service. Room service dishes needed to be removed from the room following the in-room meal.

Lighting over bathroom vanity is inadequate for e.g. makeup, contact lenses. The rooms used to have illuminated make-up mirrors
