Wow - they upgraded our room free of charge and without a request from us and the room was sensational. The Tepanyaki restaurant was a great experience too, with outstanding food.

I ve been in this hotel many years ago and many changes have occured since then, they now have private de luxeappartments on the upper levels but the restaurant is still good and you still have the Stamford ambiance . We had dinner there almost every night during our stay. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Parking facility is a must in this part of the city may be a bit expensive.

The front desk and concierge serve were especially good.

We booked the Stamford Plaza for two couples for four different nights. We were well pleased with the on line reservation protocol. From the young man that handled our considerable luggage to the several staff desk persons as well as those persons responsible for our delicious cooked breakfasts all were friendly, helpful and efficient. I especially appreciated the concierge's actions in helping me locate the taxi cab where I inadvertently left my binoculars while alighting at the hotel. He was very helpful, made several calls and even followed up the next morning. I retrieved the binoculars at the police office at the airport just as he had arranged. One other note: On our last night in Auckland we had dinner at the hotel and enjoyed the Japanese food and presentation very much.

My stay was most enjoyable and I would recommend the hotel for both business and vacation travel. My only criticism is that the service in the lounge area was extremely slow. Customer service in the lounge was not what it should be for a 5 star hotel.

We were very happy to stay at the Stamford Plaza and in hindsight, wished we had stayed there for the first couple of days we were in Auckland rather than the Copthorne Harbour View. The quality of service / facilities / and general ambience of the Stamford was excellent and we have recommended it to our friends and relatives. The next time we are in Auckland, we will definitely be staying at the Stamford !

Hotel Staff were very efficient & quick right from the Bell Hop to the reception desk when I checked in. Most impressed! Courteous and Polite too. Hotel Room was very clean and has a good and quiet ambience which is conducive for business travellers. Hotel is nicely located near city centre. However, it would be a good choice for tourists if not for the slightly high end room rates. Overall, had a pleasant stay and I will definitely consider the Stamford Plaza on my next trip to Auckland.

The Location was great. The staff we dealt with were very good. The Dirty Windows were a bad look.

The gym was closed and the alternative was not available due to the long weekend. It was most dissapointing. The room was small and there was a construction platform right outside my window which meant I had zero view. It was terrible..

I was there during the construction...I was disappointed thater was no advance notice when I made the booking that construction was ongoing... I was travelling with a friend and was disappointed that the hotel does not offer a room with 2 queen or double size beds...Twin beds are rather uncofortable for me evn though I am quite a small person

Amenities were off-site due to construction, i.e. spa, etc. Otherwise, very nice.

The hotel is undergoing some renovation/building work. We had booked the Romance & Seduction Package which was 1st class, well above our expectations!

The breakfast bar was well presented and well staffed. I arrived very jet lagged and left feeling refreshed, I will definately come back if in Auckland again. the room had proper curtains to keep out the light, i was able to go to sleep during daylight hours. The bathroom was immaculate.

I was only there for about 7 hours for a sleep so did not get to enjoy you facilities. TV was in an awarkward position
