The hotel has been updated since my last stay in December 2005 which was a very pleasant surprise.
Everything was wonderful and I am now planning another trip to stay.

I had booked a two bedroom apartment with full kitchen and when I arrived found that they had already been allocated to others staying there and the rest of them were being renovated. Instead we were offered 2 seperate rooms across the hallway from each other one with a king and the other with a queen bed. Both had no oven just a microwave and stove top. As I was alone with my 2 young children for the first couple of days we could only use 1 of the rooms and had to leave the other one vacant as my children were too young to be on their own. We were given a rollaway bed for one of my children. This whole situation made the accommodation very disappointing and totally not what we were expecting as we were cramped. Staff at the front desk were polite however I asked one of the ladies at the front desk for an extra towel as the cleaners had taken 1 away the last few days of our stay. This never eventuated. The upside was that the accommodation we stayed in was renovated, very clean and it was in a good location and had good laundry facilities even a large bucket of laundry powder. Luckily there was a few upsides otherwise the whole thing would have been a disaster. If we got what we originally booked then it would have been ideal.

Really enjoyed our stay - great location. Thought parking was going to be a problem but that didn't eventuate.

WE were able to walk everywhere. The room was ready when we arrived at 12 p.m. Parking was secure and adequate. We did not use the restaurant - thought it was pricey for what they had. THe room was old fashioned but clean and comfortable. THe noise from the hall on saturday night and sunday morning was a bit much.

I would recommend this with qualifications... I was not expecting the block of rooms with no front door behind an empty building. An elevator would have been nice. I found out about the luggage lift the second day.

The room was not cleaned and the towels were not changed during our stay.

Noisy - mainly plumbing system

Small hotel within walking distance of Hobart centre. Breakfast available on request (AU$9). I only stayed for one night so am not really able to comment on the services. Nice room with kitchenette.

Receptionist not at all friendly on either check-in or check-out. Very small rooms (except for the bathroom). Unit needs to be painted with a brighter colour -very bland walls and furnishings, not pleasant surroundings

only one downside which prevents me from staying again - continual loud banging of doors -impossible to close doors without making echo noise

generally good, just needs a good spring clean. starting to look a bit tired needed a good airing, a bit stale

Please supply shampoo with the bathroom amenities. Some kind of coffee maker or a simple plunger is needed for the kitchen. The local television is dreary, please get hooked up to cable.
