We found the hotel to meet all of our needs and then some. We did not use the adjacent casino or restaurants. But, they certainly were available.

Skycity, I must say is very well centrally located in the heart of Auckland.
I do a lot of business meeting in Auckland and especially coming from overseas, you tend to want to find the best cetral location possible. Traffic flow is great, you can get out in no time and get back to the hotel very quickly.
I have stayed in other parts of Auckland in many of my business trips, but this would have to be it; Skycity. You get back from a long day of meetings and everything is at the door step.
The food choices were great and plenty to choose from.
I highly recommend Skycity hotel for business people that work long hours, have plenty of meetings all day and the need to get to places fast.

Skycity Auckland Hotel was very convenient for us because we were travelling around New Zealand by coach bus and the bus terminal is right at the hotel.

The hotel is very well situated for visitng Auckland and as a starting point for travel to other parts of New Zealand. I was only there for 3 nights and I found the hotel to be of good standard and the staff with whom I had contact were courteous and efficient. The food supplied to the conference attendees was excellent and compares very favourably with catering I have experienced at similar functions in many venues around the world. I did not have the opportunity to experience all of the facilities offered but those I did experience were good. I did not use a camera during my stay.

Our breackfast order was not delv to our room at the sepf time had to re order.

I felt there was a draught coming in through the window on two nights of my stay. There was a strong wind on this occasion also but it was stil uncomfortable.

No other concerns except as above I was concerned with the amount of dust and lint not cleaned from the confectionary tray and some on the wrappings. Even the toilet paper holder had a lot of dust.

Tried booking restaurant at the top twice early on and could not get booking. Had to search for restaurant in the centre.

The casino is probably the main attraction for many but the hotel also has a good range of dining options. Service levels are very good. Executive suites are a good size - practical rather than luxurious but very comfortable.

We aksed for a smoking room and got a non-smoking room. We rang to change the room and was told that we could stay where we were and they would send an ash tray. We're still waiting. We went to check out and the counter staff were so busy that we were ignored for 20 minutes. Room was lovely and most of all QUIET.
