I picked this hotel because it was close to the airport and since it caters mostly to a traveling croud, I would have expected a little more flexibility in checking out so that I didn't have to spend so much time in the airport waiting for my flight. I was surprised and disappointed in the lack of flexibility and sensitivity to international travelers.

Bedding felt damp and cold and showers wen't that good but the hotel fulfilled a basic need of having somewhere close to the airport to get some sleep after a long flight.

For transit purposes it was quite adequate and at a reasonable cost for the area. Shuttle bus to and from the airport was efficient and the room was all that we needed.

However, the reception staff were helpful.

Arrived on a rainy day (Friday 13th) from Nelson at 11 am after ringing ahead to inform of our early arrival.(Our form said check in was between 11 and 2.) Our party of 3 was given the option of sitting in the very small reception area for 2 hours on 2 seats until our room was ready with no suggestions of alternatives. Felt the reception we received was most unfriendly, bordering on hostile. That marred an otherwise pleasant stay with Comfort Inn
