Arrived at Hotel even though I expressed with booking that I would arrive early and would require room........my room was not available.......this was 2:20 ......I was offered a smoking room.......which I agreed to ..........to be told 5 minutes later ......no not available. I was told they would put a rush on the room ...and I should wait 30 minutes, not happy but I waited. After the 30 minutes - still not ready even though now 3p.m check in time.........then told it would be 10 minutes more........I was about to walk away and then told come back in 15 - 20 minutes.......I challenged this what was in 10 or 20 minutes? I ordered room service the table and some champagne arrived but NO FOOD had to ring and get it brought up again..... I intended to fill in executive check out form ..........not a pen or pencil in site........had to attend reception to check out.... Given this was a flying visit to see if I would stay at your hotel on a trip in October -- I was less than impressed.

Recption and concierge service good but very poor bar service requiring us to complain to duty manager - without satisfaction! Very nicely furnished room - our only complaint was that there was a very poor view from the window.

The swimming pool area was not that great. Not that clean, sticky floors, too small a jaccuzzi, etc. No movie channels on the regular channels........no choice of regular channels except for CNn , BBC.......Had to pay ofr the bottled water and that is the first time I had to pay for that in a 5 star hotel.

The staff were excellent. Any small problems were sorted out immediately and with good grace. I was highly impressed, and I'll be back.

Ariving after 40 hr travel, first I was informed my room was cancelled, after bout 15 min I got a room even though I did not realiz that it was not up graded to club level. On the third day was "inquested" by a staff in the club level to leave, because I would not have club level, after having supported that this is wrong via a collegue, it took quiet a while until he came back to confirm without further appologies or comments on this missunderstanding. no room change or additional information on club level offered. Towels and bathrobe old and out worn
