Shangri La Rasa Sentosa, formerly Rasa Sentosa Resort, is the only resort in Singapore with a beachfront location on Sentosa Island overlooking the South China Sea. Situated on Siloso Beach, the Shangri La Rasa Sentosa aims to be the destination of choice for both business and leisure travellers. It enjoys proximity to mainland Singapore, which is conveniently linked by a causeway.
Besides numerous island attractions and VivoCity - one of the largest shopping malls in Singapore - the Shangri La Rasa Sentosa is minutes away from Southeast Asia's first Universal Studios. After 17 years in business, the Shangri La Rasa Sentosa is currently undergoing a complete makeover on its guestrooms and facilities including the swimming pool, gym, spa, children's club, food and beverage outlets and function rooms.
Set on Siloso Beach facing the South China Sea, Shangri La Rasa Sentosa offers spacious and comfortable accommodation amidst a natural landscape. The resort recently completed a SGD 80 million makeover and welcomes guests with 454 beautifully appointed guestrooms.
Ranging from 31 to 150 square metres, the ten different room types are designed with the needs of different travellers in mind. Each room comes with an attached private balcony and a view of the hills, garden, pool or sea so guests can enjoy the lush, natural surroundings.
After the revamp, guests can expect more dining choices with a brand new three-in-one dining concept that features an all-day buffet outlet with live cooking stations, a Chinese noodle house and a Peranakan casserole section. Children can expect a dedicated buffet section, while guests who wish to have a business luncheon can opt for the private dining room.
A juice bar will provide guests with refreshing, freshly squeezed fruit juice. A stand-alone bar with live entertainment will provide cocktails, wines and other beverages. The lobby lounge and pool bar are undergoing refurbishment.
Please note that the Shangri La Rasa Sentosa will re-open for business on 18 January 2011.
