We went on 1 Aug to 2 Aug. Upon checking into the hotel, the staff that attended to us was very courteous. Although we booked for a HillView room, the staff upgraded us to the poolview room. Upon request for the late check-out the following day, he granted after checking on the computer system. So actually we stay there for 24 hours, checking in at 2 pm on Saturday and leaving at 2 pm on Sunday.

It was the most wonderful family vacation for my family, my son truly enjoyed very much that he slept through the night till morning at 7 am. My son is only 6 months old.

A great place to stay if you are sick of the city hotels and shopping centres. Beautiful beaches, tranquil atmosphere and only 10 minutes from the city centre.
And the room rate is very reasonable - included internet and breakfast.

It was July 2008 and Sentosa island was undergoing refurbishments. We weren't aware of the extensive 'makeover' which made our stay a little less pleasant. It would be helpful and fair if we were told the truth from the start so as to enable us to make a better decision.

Maintain the privacy atmosphere and services.
Make the guest so secure and feel comfort especially surrounding hotel location.

If you need a bit of room in the shower it wouldn't be the place to stay, the bath is so narrow you can't stand with your legs apart.

Evening meals in the buffet are over priced but breakfast good.

I guess because it was holiday time there were a lot of younger people around. I expected the hotel to be a bit more of a romantic feel but did instead found it very noisy. We wanted to spend two days in tranquility after travelling around Australia for a month.

We went to Singapore with three other families expecting a 5 star hotel and were quite disappointed. We booked two non smoking rooms and were given two free smoking rooms which means (so we were told) "you can choose if you smoke or not". Both rooms had obviously had smokers in them continuously. We asked to change rooms which took 2 hours.

The rooms were OK but not near the 5 stars we had paid for. They were quite tired and run down, even the hallway needs a coat of paint or some carpet.

Generally the facilities outside the hotel were good. The beach is public which means the resort has little control over the litter in and out of the water.

The children loved the swimming pool and enjoyed every minute on the water slide The staff were fantastic, friendly and chatty. Always willing to help

The queues for breakfast were less than desirable. Food was OK.

The hotel room was very unidated and old, it didnt make me comfortable at all during our stay. We upgraded our room to what we thought was a sea view but at the room was on only on level 3 we could only see the pool, wish we didnt bother to pay the extra now.

I felt like the reception staff was very under staff so we always had to wait a long time to be attended to or had to wait a long time for housekeeping to visit us on request.

I purely wouldnt reccommend this hotel due to the fact that when you go to a five or four star hotel you expect nothing but the best which was a total let down at this hotel and would not stay there again

We stayed for a week at the Shangri-la's Rasa Resort. It is in a beautiful spot if you don't mind the tankers out in the bay. But really it was nice. The island itself has plenty to do for families or couples and the free buses that run around the island are great for getting around. The service was not as good as it was in Thailand which was a little disappointing considering how much you pay to stay there. But it was nice.

Generally good service; great restaurant with many chooses, really good and tasty seafood. Only the breakfast when we left was forgotten. Kids loved this hotel. Nice and clean rooms (one for us and one for the kids). Good service, directly help if neccessary.

All in all a great time. Room with a king bed was booked but when arrived only room with 2 singles available (?). Staff speddily joined them together for a really big bed.

I had expected that internet access would be included in the price of the room

The pool is great (esp for kids)! The beach is bad. The hotel is old. It needs a lot of updating esp with the bathroom.

Fantastic hotel. Great for families and kids. Would love to stay there again.

For the price of almost SGD300 after tax I honestly feel I was a bit overcharged. The room and the service can only be described as 'fair' by Shangrila standard. The beach looks OK, but the view of the cargo ship and the pollution of water makes one reluctant to swim at sea. Luckily the hotel's swimming pool is good. For a leisure beach holiday, I prefer Bintan much more.

It would be better have more facilities for family with small kids.

The room was clean and tidy. I was provided with a free upgrade to pool side room with King-size bed. However, the sofa bed was uneven when opened and extended.
