Golden Sands Resort By Shangri La hotel is located on Penang's finest beach, the famed Batu Feringgi Beach. Only 20 minutes' drive from George Town and 45 minutes from the Penang International Airport. Taxis and private limousines are available at the arrival halls until the last flight. All transportation fares are fixed with issuing of receipt.

The Golden Sands Resort By Shangri La hotel provides a free shuttle service five times a day to and from centre of George Town. You may also arrange for a limousine transfer.

Driving Direction to Golden Sands Resort By Shangri La:

From Penang International Airport: Take the Bayan Lepas Highway till you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the twelve o'clock turn heading to Sungai Nibong. Continue the journey all the way until you pass by two traffic lights. As you pass the second traffic lights at Sunny Point, keep to the far left corner of the road.

As you reach another small roundabout, take the 9 o'clock turn heading towards Mesjid Negeri, Tanjung Bunga and Batu Feringgi. Keep to the left of the road and drive straight ahead. You will pass by a stretch of traffic lights while using this road. Continue your journey by following the landmark boards stating Tanjung Bungah and Batu Feringgi.

After taking Western Road, turn right at the traffic lights of Waterfall heading to Gottlieb Road and Bagan Jermal. Take 9 o'clock again at the roundabouts and enter Tanjong Tokong Road. Continue your journey till you reach Batu Feringgi. The Golden Sands Resort By Shangri La hotel is located on Batu Feringgi Beach.

Along the way from the airport, there are directional signs to Batu Feringgi. Should you lose your way, the locals will be happy to assist.
