WE ARRIVED AT THE SEBEL SUITES FOLLOWING OUR FLIGHT FROM HONG KONG. THE ROOM WAS AIRY AND LIGHT WITH LOVELY VIEWS OVER THE MARINA, IT WAS WELL EQUIPPED AND VERY CLEAN. THE STAFF WERE EXCELLENT, VERY POLITE AND ALWAYS GREETED US CHEERILY. OUR BAGS HAD NOT ARRIVED WHEN WE HAD AND THE STAFF WERE VERY GOOD PASSING ON MESSAGES FROM THE AIRLINE AND THEY DELIVERED THE BAGS AS SOON AS THEY ARRIVED. THE HOTEL IS IN A VERY CONVENIENT POSITION, ABOUT 10 MINUTE WALK TO THE MAIN SHOPPING AREA, SKY TOWER AND FERRIES TO THE ISLANDS. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE WAS THE NOISE LEVELS FROM THE BARS BELOW ON TTHE QUAYSIDE. IT WAS EXCUSABLE ON THIS OCCASION AS IT WAS THE FRIDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS AND EVERYONE WAS OUT PARTYING. THE BAR OWNERS WERE ISSUED WITH A WARNING FROM THE AUTHORITIES, SO IT WON´T BE A REGULAR OCCURANCE. WE WOULD MOST DEFINATELY STAY AGAIN AND HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED IT TO OUR KIWI FRIENDS WHO VISIT AUCKLAND REGULARLY.

Staff were helpful. Rooms of the suite were clean. Nice kitchen.

Apartment was well laid out, with good facilities and views over the harbour.

Location was excellent, walking distance to city and harbour, restuarants and bars.

Should be made clear that parking is an additional charge.

Staff were generally friendly and helpfull.

Overall was happy with stay and would stay again.

There were a couple of things that I was not impressed with when I paid the bill. Firstly, GST was not included in the room price quote from the internet. I stayed all over the North Island, and this was the only hotel that didn't include it in the price, which is deceptive. Also charging $6.95 for using Visa was outrageous and not written anywhere in the information I received. Once again, you were the only hotel to do this. Apart from that, the only recommendation I have is to ensure firm pillows are available for guests. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time (until we paid the bill!!!)
Hope you can correct this before my next stay.

The stay was ok.
but i would have to say the parking sucked!!! I booked the hotel online and i chose it because it said there was underground parking. It should of made it clear on the website that it costs $25. a day to park. and thats if your lucky to find one. Otherwise you have to park on the street.
The staff were friendly and helpful.

We have stayed with you on a previous occasion which we enjoyed- hence the decision to stay again with you this time. To a point we also enjoyed this recent stay but it was marred to a large extent due to the phenomenal amount of noise in the middle of the night coming from the nearby sportsman's bar which resulted in us getting little or no sleep. Very annoying. I believe there was some rugby game on. This would influence our next stay- particularly if we intended staying during a weekend.

On our return for our second booking on Saturday 13 Nov, we found our booking had been cancelled by an agent who was unknown to us, apparently on the strength of a booking number without a name. Hopefully your quality control will not allow this to happen in the future. The staff found us an alternative room, but continued to describe the matter as a "misunderstanding", which it clearly was not. We had made our booking at the hotel desk two weeks earlier, and had not been given a booking number. Our room 608 had severely cracked tiles on the kitchen floor

When I arrived at the hotel, the hotel had made an error with my booking and did not have a room for me until the following day. I was instead sent to another hotel where I stayed in a nice room, but nowhere near up to the standard I had booked at the Sebel. This was a huge inconvenience and a disruption to my stay. I was then expected to pay the same rate for the lesser room, although when I queried this, they did agree to reduce the fee
