On arrival we were really impressed with the very friendly and helpful staff - the lady we dealt with spent a lot of time with us showing us things on maps and even went out of her way to make phonecalls for us and sent extra information up to our room. The room was very basic, quite small and in need of some redecoration, particularly the bathroom. It was fairly clean - as clean as you can manage with old decor. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you were planning on spending alot of time in your room. The dining facilities were great, the breakfast and before 6pm bar snacks were excellent value. Overall a good hotel and the location was perfect, central to the CBD and easy access to trams and buses, I would stay here again.

Close to free trams etc. Room was small but adequate. We had 1 breakfast in the hotel and one evening meal, both very good. Another time would stay somewhere perhaps not so convenient with location but with more room and maybe a view or balcony.
