However the cleanliness and ambience could be better. The room I stayed in was way too small but I suppose manageable for a short stay where one only comes back to sleep. The staff were always polite and courteous

It is located at the centre of Melbourne city, convenience and almost walking distance to all the attraction. But I hope the hotel room will be soon refurbish soon so that it will have a better looking room, such as ensure the wireless/network cables and air-con working properly before letting enyone stay-in the room. Also the hotel should change the old model of TV, table, carpet is too old, etc.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return again one day.

The rooms are very comfortable and the staff are very helpful, polite and efficient.

I couldn't tell what it is but something you don't want to be around. If you're travelling alone and looking for a hotel in a great location at a reasonable price, this is the one. Otherwise, don't expect.

They organised our bus transfer for the next day. The hotel looked after our baggage for the day whilst we went touring around Melbourne. The Mercure Welcome in is very central to everything and I would gladly stay again. This was my second stay at the Mercure Welcome.
