We enjoy staying at this hotel both for the location and the courteous staff that we have encountered on our visits.

Staff was incredibly helpful with advice on restaurants, services around the city, etc. Will certainly return when go through Auckland again. Was surprised by the quality and standard, felt I was recieving good quality for my money.

I particularly appreciated getting the weather details each day with the newspaper.

Ideal location, nice pub next door! Nice clean room ideal for my short stay needs.....

I asked for a light bulb to replaced when I left in the morning but this still hadn't happened when I returned in the evening. Although it was then quickly fixed, I have marked "service" down slightly as a result. I noticed dried blood on the bed cover.

The only minor criticism I have of the Hotel is the entrance to the penthouse area is a little disconcerting and tends to colour your perception of what to expect up the stairs and through the door. The standard of the rest of hotel is so good that when you get to the 8th floor it is a lttle bit of a let down and the fact that bags have to be carried up and down that narrow back staircase not only by guests but by your staff seems out of kilter with the rest of the establishment. did not notice the first time in the room but the second time we noticed that 3 of the tiles on the floor in the kitchen area were badly cracked and getting to the dangerous stage.

The hotel is opposite the Airbus coach stop so access to and from the airport is easy. It is centrally located. The room was poorly located at the back of the hotel overlooking a yard and the service area. Other than that, I have no complaints about the room.

A car park I could use - drive 9in and out with internal access to hotel - would have been great Very well prsesented

Not the fanciest place I've ever stayed at, but certainly adequate for my needs. Room was clean & comfortable, has a nice little bar & restaurant. Great locatiion right in the heart of Auckland, walk to everything

A tiny point, is that the hotel has a sign of Welcome. When I was visiting it read:

Service was great except on the last day when baggage was left in the baggage room the porter failed to check all the baggage dockets and return all of the one item resulting in a hasty return from airport to pick it up. The room was very comforatable and nicely set out.

This hotel is in an excellent central location and suited our needs perfectly. We were comfortable and had all we required.

The restaurant/bar prices were too expensive. Would have been good to have a washing line/clotheshorse in bathroom.

no security when we returned about 11.30pm and aggressive group of youths jostling outside the doors extremely noisy - maybe air conditioning unit next door?

Reception staff would not allow anyone in to rooms before 2pm. I requested 9am checkin after 30 hour travelling and even at 1.30pm reception would not allow me in to room. This is very poor service as they must of had a room ready. Another couple had the same treatment. None of my requests were met. We did not get one large bed as requested. Area for beds not really large enough to two single beds. Rest of room spacious and high quality fitting.

Reception staff were very helpful. Location was great for an out-of-towner who wanted to walk to a concertn The room was very clean but very small. We felt our bed was in something similar to a closet (room on the 8th floor).

Dinner service on one of the night was so universally slow that it became a topic of discuss between the diners (!)Terrible! No light switches close to bed for easy access
