Great place and fab staff - real village ambience and great location for Sydney Harbour and ferries. Would definitely stay again! :-)

A hotel is peaceful but a transportation is so convenience for travelling to a town and a bay.

THE SAVOY DOUBLE BAY HOTEL SYDNEY - THEIR ROOM IS VERY CLEAN,COMFORTABLE TO STAY,SERVICE IS GOOD EXCEPT WHEN THE ROOM FACING THE ROAD IS A LITTLE NOISY DURING AT NIGHT.

OVERALL IT IS A NICE PLACE TO STAY AND I WOULD RATE AN " A ".

If you are considering this hotel and are travelling from abroad, specify a room with a window - so the natural light resets your body clock. Our 2 children (2 & 4) couldn't and it ruined our stay in Australia (from UK).

Otherwise, hotel is in good area - very safe and quiet. Close to sea (400m) and clean.

Our family of 2 adults and 3 children stayed for 4 nights at the Savoy Hotel in Double Bay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was cleaned each day and we were very comfortable. Any queries we had were answered most effectively by staff. The Hotel itself is in the most beautiful suburb of Sydney. It was so convenient to get into the city either by bus or ferry and such a lovely place to walk around. I would much rather stay in Double Bay than the city as it was not noisy or dirty. The breakfast available at the Hotel was good value and cooked well. There are many places to eat around the area and we tried lots of them just for the experience and found that they were all reasonably priced. We would recommend the Savoy to people as a standard and comfortable place to stay. Very family friendly!

The staff were very friendly and helpful the whole time we stayed at the Savoy. The hotel was located close to shops, restaurants, Woolworths and public transport. Breakfast was very good value for money too. There were comfortable places even outside our room where we could sit and relax to read the papers or use the computer etc.

There are 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 fairly big teenagers. The bedrooms are of a good size as are the bathrooms. The beds are really comfortable and plenty of space for clothes etc.. The location is terrific being right in the heart of Double Bay in the Eastern Suburbs. The room rates very reasonable for peak season. All in all a very pleasant stay.

I would recommend the Savoy to anyone. The staff were very friendly and helpful and they made our stay very pleasant. The breakfasts available were excellent value for money. The Savoy is located in the nicest part of Double Bay, easy for shopping, eating and only a few minutes walk from transport and ferry to Circular Quay. I would definitely stay there again.

We were a group of 5. Our stay in this hotel was more than we bargained for. The rooms were comfortable. Breakfast, though was extra charge but it was worth the money and it was fulfilling.

What I like most was the privacy and foyers. Though we did not have the time to check out the other facilities i.e. the Spa and other restaurants.

We were very happy with the location. We had a comforable bus drive to the heard of Sydney (about 20 minutes). It was hassle free. We felt as if we were locals.

Staff service was excellent. The Receptionist, didnt get her name (apologies), she was on duty in the afternoon on the day we checked in. She went out of her way to ensure we our journey into town espcially the Harbour area an easy one. We must say she was very efficient and friendly.

We would definitely recommend staying at The Savoy Double Bay Hotel Sydney. In fact, we are already making plans for our visit to Sydney next year. And, the Savoy Double Bay Hotel is definitely our choice of accommodation.

The Savoy is situated in a very nice and reasonably quiet street, with access to many fine dining establishments right outside the front door. The hotel is close to all public transport that is within walking distance.

The hotel itself is very clean and quiet with friendly and helpfull staff. The room we stayed in was very clean and tidy and had plenty of room to move even with two queen size beds in it. The beds..........one of the beds was like concrete and extremely uncomfortable, the other was slightly better.

Secruity at the hotel is good, you can feel safe staying there and leaving your personal belongings in the room.

Overall not bad value for money considering its in Sydney.

Internet in the rooms would have been fantastic.

The heaviness of the room doors which everyone let slam meant that I was woken up quite a lot. The room was super clean. The toilet had a flushing problem which was dealt with quickly by the staff.

Front rooms can be very noisy at night. Insufficient draw space for long visit.

The hotel was fine for our purposes. Location is great, plenty of restaurants close by and close to the ferry terminal (only 9 minutes from Circular Quay). Exactly where we wanted to be. The room was fine - clean and comfortable. No problems at all.

Staff was helplful and friendly...a pleasure We visited in 2000 and this time thought the rooms were a bit shabby.
