But decided to continue with my bookings. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff at the reception counter when we arrived. They were very helpful and polite. The room we had was upgraded and it was clean and very comfortable. The microwave oven was very useful. The restuarant sells reasonable wine and beer with a good range of food to go with it. It is centrally located down town where we were able to move around ourselves. My wife was very happy because there was a Catholic Church nearby where she could attend daily Mass every morning. However, we recommend that the Hotel need to improve on the Room magnetic key system and the wireless internet connection at level 3. Special thanks to Miss Marinda, Chris and Michael Craig as they were very helpful and extremely polite in taking care of our needs and requests. They made our stay in Sandman Hotel a memorable one. We will be back soon. Recomended for travellers. Cheers! to Sandman Hotel management and staff.

The Sandman was a perfect location. Coming from Vancouver Island, we got transport from the ferry to the hotel, and then all we had to do was walk across the road for the show. There is also a great restaurant on location.

We got our room after about 45min and it was not what we had ordered. Queen bed, on the back of the building the room was tiny. When we talk with the front desk they were very rude. after some discussion they moved us to another room with a king sized bed. Turns out the window leaks very badly and our luggage had gotten wet through the night. As well we were travelling with several other people who had gotten stuck in the elevator for aprox 15min with no assistance from the staff. At the end when checking out they said that there would be no charge for the room and were apologetic to our concerns and seamed concerned. Regards, Harley
