There were a few time when I called down to the front desk to ask questions and there was no answer. I was a little upset about that. I did appreciate them handing a key to my friend to come to my room instead of me coming down to meet them. I didn't notice any room service and I would have appreciated a small fridge but the ice did fine I guess. Other than that I loved the lobby and check in and check out were fast. I appreciated that. I loved the shampoo and conditioner hahaha but the soap was hard to rinse off. All in all though I liked my stay. I would recommend this place to others.

Overall the actual room and amenities were very good for our needs .We were attending a hockey game so the location was excellent.The problems we had was with the eating est. , "Moxies".We arrived 2 1/2 hrs. before game time waited about 20 mins.before being seated which is fine.We ordered our meals and drinks right away.2 hrs. later we still had not recieved our meals.After several complaints and as many excuses, we finally had to leave-- unfed and hungary. Breakfast the next morning was not good.Not hot and there was something black and slimey under my eggs, which I did't see until I was well into my meal.Almost made me gag.They said it was "probably" blueberries inadvertently left in pan and not niticed.They did not charge me for the meal.

My son and I had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. We were there to stay for a concert at GM Place. It was just a short walk to the facility. All of the hotel ammenities were great. The room could have used a small fridge and a bottle opener! Outside noise in the morning was a little loud due to the construction across the street. All in all we had a great stay! Thankyou

Staff very corteous

After booking the hotel on line, I read the reviews of some travellers I was sceptical and concerned. But decided to continue with my bookings.
We were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff at the reception counter when we arrived. They were very helpful and polite. The room we had was upgraded and it was clean and very comfortable. The microwave oven was very useful. The restuarant sells reasonable wine and beer with a good range of food to go with it. It is centrally located down town where we were able to move around ourselves. My wife was very happy because there was a Catholic Church nearby where she could attend daily Mass every morning.
However, we recommend that the Hotel need to improve on the Room magnetic key system and the wireless internet connection at level 3.
Special thanks to Miss Marinda, Chris and Michael Craig as they were very helpful and extremely polite in taking care of our needs and requests. They made our stay in Sandman Hotel a memorable one.
We will be back soon.

We went to see Mamma Mia at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. The Sandman was a perfect location. Coming from Vancouver Island, we got transport from the ferry to the hotel, and then all we had to do was walk across the road for the show. There is also a great restaurant on location.

when we arrived there was a large line-up and it was not moving quickly. We got our room after about 45min and it was not what we had ordered. Queen bed, on the back of the building the room was tiny. When we talk with the front desk they were very rude. after some discussion they moved us to another room with a king sized bed. Turns out the window leaks very badly and our luggage had gotten wet through the night. As well we were travelling with several other people who had gotten stuck in the elevator for aprox 15min with no assistance from the staff.

At the end when checking out they said that there would be no charge for the room and were apologetic to our concerns and seamed concerned.
