it was nice to be welcomed by staff on arrival; very help full to have porter to take luggage to my room. lovely warm atmosphere in room also shown t.v. air con. etc by porter. also my room was attended to daily and towels etc. over i had nice stay and would certainly stay again. thanks to all the staf for their help mr d. r. tuplin.austra;ia

We liked the hotel very much. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent-so close to all we had wanted to see. We would definitely stay at the Rydges again.

This was my first visit to Auckland and the Rydges Hotel was recommended by a friend who stayed here last year. The room I was given was very nicely appointed and the king sized bed was very comfortable. The dailey maid service was very good, however, the the floors could have been vacuumed more regularly. The location was perfect for access to almost all of downtown Auckland and the Viaduct areas. The hotel was under an expansion construction but the service remained very good. Once the addition is completed the hotel will be an excellent facility. Definitely will recommend. J Reierson USA, Minnesota

Excellent efficiency at late check-in due to plane delay. Room extremely comfortable with two large double beds. Impressive panorama of Auckland Tower one block away. Quiet location, even though right in CBD. Conveniently near Airbus stop in Queen street, but a fairly steep hill if carrying bags. No pool in building but access to nearby pool available if required.

Very accessible for restaurants and shopping as well as attractions such as Explorer Bus and harbour cruises.

The staff were young polite and efficient. The hotel was situated in the centre of the city of Auckland, but just down a side street, so the room was very quiet. The room was large clean and well appointed, and the cost very reasonable. We would definitely stay there again.

The staff were very courteous and helpful. I would rate the staff as excellent + !, and gladly return just because of the staff. The facility was quite adequate for a central location.
