Our main concern was lack of easy access. I am 69, my wife 67. We found it very difficult to lug two heavy suitcases up to reception , let alone up a further flight of stairs to our room. I know it might be difficult to arrange, but the hotel really should have a lift, to make life easier for its guests. It is not an hotel for older or less fit people.

We wanted the room fan active but, the fitting was so loose that there was a real risk fo it coming away from the ceiling, and it was noisy, so we were unable to use it as much as we would have wished to

Excellent location close to all amenities Access to hotel room via narrow steep stairs - not easy to carry heavy cases, but there was a porter.

Breakfast was perfect. Lovely quaint room, warm showers, very comfy bed. Discreet room service.

The location is the best I have ever had in Sydney The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, mould in the grout, shower door broken

The narrow staircase to reception was unkempt & precarious to manage with suitcases & golf clubs. The breakfast was very good value. This was a very noisy room at the back. We had to keep the window open because of the heat. The ceiling fan did not cool down the room enough.

Street side can be a bit noisy on weekend nights.

Stairs up to reception are very small, unstable and very difficult to navigate with heavy cases. There should be a lift or at the very least, a ramp.

The breakfast was excellent

the standard of English on your web site and in your e-mail is not very good e.g. traveller has 2 "l"s; number of visitS; if you WOULD like to share ..., please FILL IN the boxES below needs decorating

The water piping system made such loud noises during the night and made me stop sleeping. Also the walls transmitted noises from the other rooms very well. Even with closed windows noises from the steet (laughter, conversation) could be heard very well during night time.

Lugage !!!

The location is the best possible, in the Rocks, next to the big name hotels. You are right there, really close to everything. Somewhat noisy, just above or near a pub. Had to open the window because it was hot and no air conditioning.

The hotel is expensive.

Appreciated the quality of the linens used, the room decor, the excellent location, and even the squeeky floors. Beauty and character combined.

The hotel offers more than service. It is the 19th Century feel that makes it so interesting to stay at

Room is over a Pub, impossible to sleep before 3:00 at weekend, Breakfast under standard. Room 28, No elevator, many stairs, no help by heavy baggage

Beautifully furnished, toiletries supplied along with champagne and chocolates. We had to change our reservation at the last minute for the next night (due to illness) and the staff could not have been more helpful.

car parking system difficult to access out of hours . Walking down ramps etc no fresh flowers as advertised

Terrific location. Lack of a lift would make it difficult for some older travellers although the staff were happy to help with luggage. Very good sitting room with loads of guides etc to consult. Great room garden with limited bar service too. Overall, the room was really good. If I had to criticise, the ceiling fan was noisy and the room was very dark with no outlook. It was Room 26 and was very niosy at 07.30 h every morning, I think due to cleaners on the roof garden above.
