This hotel has an excellent location. The exterior and reception are stunning, and the accomodation reasonable.

We had a Double Superior room which was nice enough, but a little cramped. The room seemed to have been recently refurbished, but the finish and quaility of the work seemed a little hurried and cheap. We were satisfied as holidaycity.com gave us a very reasonable rate, but the room was not what I would usually expect of a 4 star hotel.

We were satisfied as we had value for money, but had i paid the full rate (£330 per night) I would have been less happy.

We did not use the facilities or room service so are unable to comment.

I really enjoyed my stay in Hotel Russel, which is very conveniently located, quite practical to go to the British Museum,the theatre district, the shopping streets. And I discovered to my pleasure that I could walk (ten minutes only) to my conference which took place in the Shaw Thatre.
I enjoyed also, to stroll and to sit in delightful Russel square, always welcoming, during any season.

Breakfasts were very good and the service was excellent North American people,

i did not sleep for the entire stay because tzhe bed was absolutely terrible-lumpy and hard, and eneven with your head lower than your feet. other thsan thst, a beautiful historical hotel with great staff and friendly, helpful concierges.

Upgrade given FOC.

Very good bed. Good air conditioning.

Could do with some real good quality pillows and mattress. It helps to have a mini-fridge. Also,pls be more generous with your toiletries.
