I live in Brunei and travel to Singapore quite frequently.We stayed at Royal Plaza on Scotts and spent 5 nights here.First thing first, the staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel also provide free internet on every room. We loved this hotel. It is also a wonderful location just 5 minutes walk to Wheelock place. I will definetly stay here again on my next visit.

Very pleasant and very conveniently located hotel. Better value than other high class hotels in the same area, especially when including broadband access. The staff is very pleasant and curtious. While there is room for improvement on a few little things in the room, it is overall very practical and convenient for business travelers. Overall, while not cheap, a good value for the money given the alternatives, and a very pleasant stay.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and found the location to be excellent for getting round the city. The staff were helpful and very friendly - from check in to check out. The breakfast buffet was very extensive. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Although a long time ago I stayed in the hotel, when it was still a Holiday Inn, for about 6 weeks before I found a residence in Singapore (I worked in Singapore from 1984 till 1987). I thought it was a good hotel then and it still is now under the new name Royal Plaza.
Decent sized, clean rooms, excellent location, staff very friendly and helpful.
I booked through HolidayCity and the package included free use of the room's minibar. That's great news, but in fact it only contained 2 cans of Pepsi and one can of beer and nothing else. I had booked for two (my wife and myself) and thought this to be a bit meagre to say the least! Otherwise no complaints whatsoever.

I was really happy to see the room set up very exclusive, the food is tremendously good , I like it very much . If I have other oppurtunity I would like to stay at this hotel with my family members

Good,good,good,anyway.Nothing worry when you stay this hotel.Except no bath-tub and hard to control shower temperature. Maybe I'm picky, my fiancee didn't concern with both my issues.

If you thinking of Shopping in Scotts or Orchard Road than this hotel is the place to stay. Everywhere is walking distance and if your hands are full than pop back to your hotel and dump your shopping bags and continue on.

Well I kinda admit the pics of hotel looked way better than in reality...

The hotel lobby was kinda disappointing...too small to be considered grand for a supposedly 5 star hotel

But the royal scotts makes up for it by it's value for money added services! I like the idea of free broadband and drinks from mini-bar which is never offered in other 5 star hotels in singapore

but the mini bar is a little disappointing...cos they'r no snacks inside...only drinks! what happened to the chips and chocolates? some mini-bar......

The swimming pool was average...well u can't really blame hotel cos of its small space and limited ambience

but all in all, $200 per night is value for money
might stay there again as it has a superb location!

The Hotel is a very convenient location for shopping. Very Clean Rooms & Friendly and helpfull staff.
Buffet Breakfast is included in the rates and it had a great variety of dishes for Western & Eastern tastes. The Room is medium size (not big).
Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back soon.

the room we stayed in the door could not locked from inside or outside,inform hotel staff,manager came up,not helpful approach,unfriendly and not interested.this is our security and also our belonging in room.

THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD AND WELL SERVED.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay - it provided me with a bed , an excellent breakfast the next day , and was within walking distance of Orchard Road , allowing me to have a good look around the shops !

SO FAR THE BEST LOCATION IF YOU ARE STAYING IN SINGAPORE, FOR BOTH BUSINESS OR LEISURE.

Overall.... the Hotel was very comfortable, very clean, and also the food, that was very nice.

Our stay at Royal Plaza was a bit of a splurge as we had been backing packing around Europe so it was really lovely to spend our last few days in luxury before we headed home, and that is exactly what royal plaza offered us. The staff were amazing and very helpful and polite. The hotel is located in a great location close to shops restaurants and the train station. I would definately recommend this hotel to everyone! Its somewhere we'd definately love to come back to!!
