We love the hotel and the staff are always fantastic but the room was disappointing this time. We booked a superior room and yet this was the smallest room we have ever stayed in at that hotel (having satyed there twice before). We are not convinced that we got what we paid for.

No restaurant but plenty in area - good central hotel with homely feel and close to tube Very comfortable and full of character - lovely bath and shower
Happy to have my breakfast in my room so lack of a restaurant was no problem at all. Parking is a bit of an issue but always is in central London. Great location re tube. Lovely period style room. Would have preferred a proper shower but not a problem for a one night stay.
When you look through the windows from the outside it's like looking back in time into a victorian house and it's especially nice when decorated up for Christmas. Very cosy and authentic. The bathroom with the roll top bath was a treat!
The location couldn,t have been better - near the tube, central London, choice of bars and restaurants. In one weekend they went to Islington, Camden, Kensington Gardens and Soho! My dad does like to be out & about and walking! His 'short cuts' are infamous!! The stay was for a surprise gift for our parents wedding anniversary - they LOVED the room! My mum said if she had had her way she would have taken a pile of magazines, some food and wine and stayed there until checkout time! They bed was so comfortable and the old-fashioned 'proper' pillows and crisp sheets were luxurious. My dad liked the fact that you didn't see anyone but knew all he had to do was ring room service if they needed anything.
