ALSO CLOSE TO NUMEROUS EATING CAFE'S AND RESTERAUNTS AS WELL AS THE RIVER AND OTHER ENTERTAINMENT AREAS. THE STAFF ARE VERY OBLIGING HOWEVER THE ROOMS ARE ON THE SMALL SIDE AND THE SHOWER AND TOILET AREAS ARE FAIRLY CRAMPED. EQUIVALENT TO SAY A 2.5 TO 3 STAR HOTEL IN AUSTRALIA OVERALL GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY

The room stank of smoke and the shower needed the mould cleaned off the grouting. Where the sliding door to the shower/toilet slides into a recess into the wall it would seem as though the door had not been cleaned. When taking a shower the water ran all over the floor towards the toilet where the drain for this was, the water did not drain away as it should, so consequently you had to paddle through water if you wanted to use the toiletafter having a shower. Clean sheets and towels were replaced each day. Although breakfast was included I noticed raw sausages were placed in the heated serving pans, as were the tins of baked beans. Reception staff were polite.

But there is only smoking room available, I have no other choice. The next day my wife had a sore throat and kept coughing due to sensitive to the cigarette and smoke in the room. I went down to the front office, and they finally replaced me with a non smoking room. This was the very unhappy experience we had with your hotel. Thanks for your concern about the comment. Haji

Reviewer: Muhammad Nazri M Yusof Date of review: 29 November 2007 Recommends this hotel: NO Recommended for: Singles Room Hotel Facilities 1 Bed 1 Ambience 2 Cleanliness 1 Service 2 Room Size 1 Location 5 Amenities 1 Value for Money 1 for a pricey 'budget hotel', it fails to impress me. the room is small and dirty. the toilet is also squeezy. it is hard to move around in the room. i guess it is only good for a one night stay for those backpackers BUT still its not worth the money. there are other places with value for money and a pretty much comfortable place to sleep. the airport in our room was spoilt and it took them 2 hours to come up to tend to the issue. there wont be 2nd visit for me.

However, bus service close to hotal. Good for evening stroll alongside river and close to Clarke Quay. Quiet giving a peaceful night's sleep. Sufficient breakfast and pool area was good during our stay as we were the only ones to take advantage (early November). However, rooms very much in need of "make-over"; clean but in need of re-paint and update. Great for basic stop-over accommodation if most of time spent out of hotel - we would use again.
