First time in Singapore and Clark Quai is a great area. The Robertson Quai hotel is basic, no frills except for a decent buffet breakfast and a great location. Shock when I first entered the room: Small room, smaller shower, no shampoo, stained desk. But if you're like me and just there to sleep and have breakfast then it's fine for the money.

The hotel location is convenient, lots of restaurants and shopping areas within walking distance. Staff is courteous and helpful. Would recommend it if you are looking for a reasonably-priced hotel and you will be out most of the time. But will not recommend it if you are looking for a very comfortable hotel where you will be spending most of the day.

We chose the hotel bec. it had adjacent rooms which could accomodate our family of 4 people. We appreciate that there is a hotel such as this in Singapore and so we are definitely going back there.

The room size, though small was not a problem to us. It was good enough. The beautiful view of Singapore river was more than enough to compensate for it.
I just wish the carpets could look cleaner or newer. I was sneezing a lot the first day.
Please check the wall paper also, there was a bit peeling out...although not very noticeable.

The sheets were very clean. And it looked like they were changed daily.

The towels were clean, also changed daily, but i'd be happier if they were newer.

They could also improve in daily cleaning of rooms by making sure all cups and saucers/glasses are washed, tables cleaned.

The toilet was very basic. It was clean though it would look nicer with new tiles. I am happy with a very basic shower such as that. The water pressure was excellent with hot and cold setting. They could improve by changing shower curtains into something that covers the lower portion so that water does not splash onto the bathroom floor. Make it lower or longer.

There were no fancy toiletries but they supplied shampoo/soap- in- 1 in a dispenser. That was good enough - esp. if hotel wants to keep its reasonable rates.

Breakfast food was the same everyday - except for the way the egg was cooked. I would like to suggest that the chicken sausage be changed sometimes. Say, during the week, maybe they could offer at least 3 kinds. For example, chicken sausage 1 day, ham the 2nd day or bacon on the 3rd...then back to chicken sausage. Just a little variety.

The location was perfect. It was quiet. Our room had a very beautiful view of the river. It was a stones throw away from very nice eating places, cafes, bars, cold storage, a little mall, Clark Quay. One can take a nice stroll by the river.

It is also accessible by bus. 1 ride to Orchard, and Vivo City...etc.

Overall quite good.

We arrived at the hotel after a long flight at 8am - check-in was from 2pm. I was quite ill and requested an early check-in or a temporary room/bed to rest. Nothing was available - I was only offered a small couch.

Our holiday was part of our honeymoon. When booking our reservation with Robertson Quay, I stated this seeking some sort of little surprise. Not so.

Also, after each use, the open shower would leave a massive pool of water in the bathroom. This created difficulties when going to the toilet or using the basin. Perhaps the floor needs to be on more of a gradient to drain away.

Other than the above, Robertson Quay was very central to our needs - Orchid Road (10 mins walk), China Town (15) and Little India (20).

The staffs are helpful. and the location is very convenient for leisure and families. The swimming is fun for kids.

The breakfast is good for the 1st day, but bore for the 2nd day. you should change the breakfast mix may 3 or 5 different choice, Monday choice, tuesday choice and Wednesday choice, if 3 choice for a week, then thursday will repeat monday choice and so on. If we stay there for 3 nights, then we can have 3 different breakfasts, if everyday taking the same breakfast, we may boycott the breakfast for the rest of the year.

rooms were large and well furnished , beds large , quiet inside good bathroom, and tea making facility ok there was no milk provided resaraunts were ok but a liile costly to eat at may suit some though . hotel is well down orchard road away from the quay area taxis are cheap however and plentafull.

Very good value for money. Facilities and Ambience will be much better when the current Quayside restaurant renovations are completed. Broadband internet service works OK but needs upgrading to a modern wireless system.

I found the hotel had a great location for local restaurants, many places to eat nearby with a wide range of prices.

But the hotel itself is only average. There is a lot of building work going on nearby and the rooms were very small. Nice LCD TV but no coffee making facilities.

Staff were efficient, but rather formal, no friendly smiles. And there are no facilities in the hotel except for breakfast.

I would recommend this hotel for business people on a budget that merely want somewhere to sleep. There is no incentive to stay in the hotel for relaxation. There is a pool, but we could not find the way to get to it.

Would I stay there again? No, probably not - but the location does have some great restaurants and apart from the building work next door, is very quiet at night.

I enjoyed the location of the hotel, next to the river and only ten minutes to the nearest MRT.
The room was small but clean and comfortable'The bathroom was very small.
The staff were courtious, check-in was very quick.
The only critisism I have is about the breakfast,very poor variety and the same every day'

This ois not the hotel for you if you want every paint job perfect and every door knob polished, but if you want a clean, easily accessible, comfortable hotel with excellent air conditioning, beds and showers then this is the one. The outdoor pool is excellent to cool off in after a day's sightseeing and the beach bar is a great place for a nightcap.

The staff are very friendly and professional, we were greeted by name when we arrived and everything was very well organised.

Ten minute walk to Chinatown, five minutes to Clarke Quay, twenty minutes to Little India.

We will definitely be booking again.

The hotel is in a good location. I did not see any staff with a smiling face. Breakfast was below average. With the same price, I could have a better hotel in other location in Singapore.

Room was tiny but clean, breakfast included and quite good. Excellent location and very good value for money. We had a problem later with overcharging which was finally resolved to our satisfaction. Our only complaint was that our supposed 'non-smoking'' room had in fact been used by an extremely heavy smoker. We should have asked to be changed to another room as it made the whole of our stay very unpleasant. Would recommend this hotel to budget travellers looking for a great location - but check your room first if you don't like cigarette smoke!

THE HOTEL IS CENTALLY LOCATED AND WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF CHINA TOWN, AND ORCHID STREET WHICH IS THE MAIN SHOPPING AREA. ALSO CLOSE TO NUMEROUS EATING CAFE'S AND RESTERAUNTS AS WELL AS THE RIVER AND OTHER ENTERTAINMENT AREAS.

THE STAFF ARE VERY OBLIGING HOWEVER THE ROOMS ARE ON THE SMALL SIDE AND THE SHOWER AND TOILET AREAS ARE FAIRLY CRAMPED.

EQUIVALENT TO SAY A 2.5 TO 3 STAR HOTEL IN AUSTRALIA
