Staff were execellent, Food fine. Stayed in suite on 17th floor. Everything great value for money. Only downside was unpleasant smell in corridors due possibly to carpet being damp. Otherwise everything very good.

Our first stop in Malaysia. Hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. Lent us an umbrella for going out for meal in pouring rain. The room was spacious and well appointed and the pool was lovely. Easy walk to China Town and Top Spot fish restaurant.

We had a very good staff experience during my visit. They knew about our flight problems and were sympathatic and helpful. Staff were always cheerful and professional. We would go back to this hotel because of the staff hospitality, which I would rate as EXCELLENT!
However, need to improve on bed comfortness.

Exceptionally friendly staff, especially those at the door to welcome you and greet you; bright smiles and friendly help to get us an umbrella on a rainy day.

Hotel is well located and near all the places we love; Top Seafood, 7-11, shopping center plus all the local food favourites.

We had a very good stay and the breakfast is good value for the hotel package.

very friendly staff, clean rooms and amenities, large and different breakfast buffet, very good hotel, very attractive location direct beside the river, good value for money!

I like the facilities that is available in the hotel. The staff is courteous,helpful and friendly. The staff at level 18th(the checkin for executive room) are execellent and professional . The buffet breakfast (which was included in our package) was great. Everyday almost half of the spread was different.

The buffet lunch was marvellous too.

Opposite the hotel is the tourist enquiry area, which is absolutely convenient. My wife and I had a memorable stay.

On both occassions when we have stayed at the Riverside our time there has been made very pleasant as a consequence of the extremely courteous attitude of all of the staff and by the first class interior decor, furnishings and spaciousness. One reason we chose the Riverside was its location and from that point of view it cannot be bettered by anywhere in Kuching.
The newly upgraded promenades along the waterfront have done much to make Kuching a must for travellers to Malaysia.We have no hesitation in recommending the Crowne Plaza Riverside to any one visiting Sarawak.

We booked this hotel because of what we had heard about it, but were rather disappointed as it has got very OLD and TIRED...

The airconditioning system several floors up from ours blew on the first night, and we woke up with nostrills completely BLACK from the unhealthy fumes spewing out of our air duct..

We were shifted to another room, and while it did not have the smell, the aircinditioning NEVER got cold enough for us to feel comfortable (the system WAS wroking - because it was cold in the lobby!). We think that to save $$$ the management had set the themostat in the hotel at that level (we could not change the level - try as we may). To their credit the staff did offer us another room on another floor, but it was not cold either!).

For a so called 4 star hotel, they really need to "up their game"!!

On the whole Crowne Plaza Kuching was a comfortable stay for business, however some business facilities such as access to the internet was over priced. We had to pay RM 20 per hour or RM 53 per day while other hotels with good value we can get RM 5 per hour. This ridiculous because this broadband service was provided by a 3rd part Intertouch an international company focus in providing hotel facilities.

We hope that Crowne Plaza can get a better provider than Intertouch. sometime 'International Brand ' does not mean good and cost effective service.

Also I would like to mention that our stay was during Ramadhan. We applauded that the hotel had the initiative to provide pre- dawn meals which was considered breakfast. There were a few lists of set menues. However after 4 nights stay the meals became monotonous and we requested for the standard breakfast meal. The hotel told us that we had to pay for that alternative meal. We would like to recommend that breakfast sets be part of this pre-dawn meals in the future because the room comes with free breakfast anyway. Please consider this as we will be frequenting visits to Sarawak often. Thank you

The carpet and walls are old and well used the guest rooms and hallways are in need of a renovation

I enjoyed my stay and will certainly stay there again.

It is quite a good experience staying in this hotel except a very minor unhappy incident which is duely solved by your IT manager.

Service was generally friendly and efficient. Room had fresh, clean smell. I appreciated that beds were turned down at night.

Feel comfortable when you enter the room with its facility and lights and everything. Bathroom, services all ranked Good.

Not many local dessert was available, like nyonya kuih. Saturday breakfast service was not as good as Fridays during my stay. Side table clock was not in working order. Numbers for time missing.
