Behind the walls of Bab Doukkala, through one of the most trading busy alleys, a hundred meters after, on Derb l'Hotel right, the gates of Riad Moucharabieh open on an atmosphere of serenity, and bygone living freshness. Major attractions at the Marrakech are Koutoubia Mosque, Djemaa el-Fna, Dar Si Said Museum, Saadian Tombs, Ben Youssef Madrassa, The Museum of Marrakech, Bab Agnaou, Majorelle Garden, Shrob ou shouf, Souks and El Badi Palace.
Marrakech is easily explored on foot. The city consists of the Medina (old town) and the Ville Nouvelle (new city), approximately four kilometres apart. Beige-coloured petits taxis are cheap with metered fares and are a good form of transportation between the two destinations if it is too hot to walk. Taxis can be hailed on the streets.
