Our room had a warm and cosy and arty feel to it as well as providing all the necessities for a comfortable stay. The bar area is highly attractive in a boutique hotel sense. The original artworks and old books gave the bar area a homely and engaging feel. The staff were great. We enjoyed the happy hour and the muscial presentations on Friday evenings. It was great value for money and has an excellent location regarding proximity to major tourist attractions and all the public transport facilities. If we ever return to San Francisco this will be the hotel we will stay in. Wayne and Gretta Brisbane, Australia

It is close to Union Square shopping. It is a unique experience in San Francisco. I especially enjoy the happy hour and the addition of a full service restaurant. It was a magnificent experience. I always try to stay at Hotel Rex when visiting San Francisco.
