good helpful service from staff. clean room

We enjoyed our stay...the waiting staff were obliging and friendly ; we'd like to come again.

When i checked in my name was not in the check in system and was recorded as something else. Took a little while to sort that out. When we got our room we were put in a twin bed room not a deluxe. We then had to ask for our room to be changed.

Beware- price quoted by Holiday city does NOT include tax of 12.5%. Very misleading as tax is always included in total price in NZ, Australia etc ... Room hadn't yet been serviced when we returned to our room after 2pm

We appreciated the friendliness and efficiency of the people on the front desk and were most impressed by the concierge and his staff. We were very grateful that the room was made available to us early in the morning following our very early morning arrival in Auckland after travelling direct from London.

starting to show age, but still very good. Room had a bath not a spa.

To cheek in and cheek out is not fast and you must wait. The reason is simple : two big aerial companies have selected this excellent hotel as residence in Auckland. The crew is a minumum of 15-20 peolple arriving or leaving at the same time. But you can wait sitting in the big hall in a comfortable seat. Cleaning staff very professional and have make an excellent work

TV was fuzzy and the hair drier lacked power to dry adequately.

Staff in particular were very cheerful & helpful. Excellent room - very pleasant ambience & cleanliness.

The swimming pool complex was lots of fun. Great gym too. A very enjoyable stay. The room was warm and comfortable.

The hotel and its staff is top notch. I thought the room price was incredibly reasonable for all of the amenities and the quality service we received. We will undoubtedly stay at the Carlton again when next we are in Auckland - no matter what the cost. Our room was huge and sparkling clean. We had all of the amenities of a five-star hotel and a great view of downtown Auckland to boot. We stayed on the Club floor, so we had access to certain things like daily free continental breakfast, free pre-dinner drinks, free daily tea, private elevator, etc. The Club floor staff were exceptional, but the entire hotel was very well run.
