My stay at the hotel was enjoyable. The location of the hotel is very near to the eateries and there are also 24 hours convenience store and 7-Eleven.

breakfast is good. it has many choices.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, we like our bed, most hotel comes with only 2 pillows and usually we would request for more pillow, but with this hotel you don't have to, cos it comes with 6 pillows!!!! Location is great, very easy to find your way to jonker street. lots of food stall around the hotel. We would stay here again for our next trip!

My booking / room were upgraded to Junior Suite. A nice and big room for my family. Hotel staffs were polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

The hotel staff we met on the 15th, 17th and the ground floor were very courteous. Security Guards were alert and friendly. Our rooms have excellent view. We drove from Singapore, very easy to locate the hotel. We love the breakfasts - outstanding! In future whenever we come to Malacca, we will make this hotel our first choice to stay.

the extra bed is not comfortable

We were not issued with morning papers on the first morning of our stay. Staff at concierge was great. He had contacts with cabs to facilitate our travel. Very resourceful. However, I do not think hotel staff should resort to such acts especially quoting cab prices per destination and not promoting country's desired policy of cab charges via meter. Staff failed to prescribe to tourism guides. Staff delivering supper ordered via room service ought to be trained on the appropriate choice of words. When asked if we could pay cash, his response was not to give him cash because He wouldn't know if he'd be robbed on his way down or at lobby. He actually gave us impression that the hotel is an unsafe place to be in. Please do retrain your staff. Operator or reservations staff is very pleasant when answering calls relating to reservations queries. Otherwise, your hotel is a great place to stay. Will definitely return for another stay.

The place was clean, service was excellent. It is indeed 5 Star rating My only qualms are the decor, kinda old fashion. About my room. The room is great. Clean, complimentary drinks are given but the water boiler/kettle was kinda shocking. It had some minor rust BUT I called up Housekeeping and they immediately changed a new water boiler/kettle for me. Now THAT is what I call 5 Star service. Definitely money well spend. Food. I only had buffet breakfast and the food was great. Lots to choose from.

The hotel looked nice. The lobby was big with enough sofas to rest and wait. The breakfast was ok too. But what we noticed more was that none of the hotel staffs were smiling. We were happy with the size of the rooms. And when we opened the curtains, we were amazed by the view of the city. It was beautiful. The beds were ok but the blanket was not able to provide enough warmth so we have to change the aircon temperature. Lastly, the shower knob was not working.

The original price quoted should include all taxes. As it is, we have to pay an additional Rm140 for the 2 nights stay which make it quite expensive to stay. The hotel room is getting somewhat run down. We had trouble with the bath tub and drainage in the BR (room 1914) resulting in flood in the toilet after our bath. The hotel lobby is impressive and breakfast is excellent otherwise.

The hotel is well managed, the premises is clean and staff friendly. I would like to commend the concierge team who are very friendly, knowledgeable and go the extra mile to ensure that guests feel welcomed.
The reception staff was a little stressed but managed to keep their cool cos it is a peak period. The housekeeping team is very polite and they always have a smile and warm greeting for the guests. Great Job!! Keep it up.
The hotel has a very good gift shop, the lady has great customer service and it was a delight to shop there as the items are well displayed, good quality and there is also a good variety.
We enjoyed the warm hospitality overall. We will be back for sure

My family first stayed in this hotel when it was still very new - in December 1984! We were lucky to have discover it and have always chosen to stay there whenever we travelled to Malacca to visit our relatives about 3-4 times yearly since then.

It is wonderful that the hotel has been well-maintained all these years and still presents itself like new after almost a quarter century!

The staff and services are excellent compared to many hotels we have stayed in West Malaysia.

Well my recent stay was indeed a pleasant one. The staff was courteous and efficient. The amenities were nice. The hotel's location is indeed convenient for one to move around the city.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance in Malacca. The staff were very professional, courteous and helpful. The Club lounge was a particular haven of tranquillity for a pre dinner drink.

The check in process can be improved. It took too long to be checkin.

The toilet was blocked when I arrived but they fixed it immediately
