I was at the Recency for 2 nights in November, and i had a lovely stay! Stafff were extremely friendly and helpfull, rooms were standard size, if you expect the New York mansion rooms it's normal that you remain gob smacked, but for european standards it's great. Breakfast was fantastic, rooms were very simple but clean, and South Kensington is a great area, safe and full of nice restaurants.

Very friendly and efficient staff For london I thought it was absolutely excellent.

The shower was in a (very) poor state. There was no other choice then to take a bath. As a general comment: it's considered by most people that a showerhead that can be handled is much more practical.

BED WAS SMALL AND TOO MUCH NOISE FROM STAIRWELL AND CORRIDOR.

I have never experienced such friendly, helpful staff as we did at the Regency Hotel. Everyone was superb. No heating in room. Could have been a problem if weather had been colder.

Most of the staff at this hotel are very helpfull and nice. Last time (in Januari 2004) when I stayed at this hotel I must change the room because the door lock was broken (I could not lock the door from inside). The heater made a noise and it was difficult to sleep.

The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very helpful. Although we picked this hotel because it had air conditioning, they had turned all the units off. We had to keep the window open. The room was large by European standards but not all rooms were large.
