We booked 3 rooms via the Internet for our stay, without breakfast. On arrival we were invited to upgrade at a cost of 600 RMB per night for a superior room and inclusive breakfast. Whilst the room itself was of a high standard, the breakfast on the 5th floor was of a very poor quality. There appeared to be too few staff, with tables not set and missing glasses etc. A colleague had to drink his orange juice from a cup! The dishes of food were mostly cold, and coffee dispensed from a machine. The atmosphere in the room did not encourage you to stay longer than necessary, and I consider the extra charge represented very poor value for money. If I stay again, I will keep to a regular room and buy the breakfast separately.
