Breakfast poor, not worth

The included breakfast was very limited and the service was poor. We usually had to serve our own coffee, although it appeared that the wait servers were supposed to do that. The air conditioning did not work for 3 nights and the room was miserably hot. We were finally moved to another room. The air conditioning did not work the 4th night. Although the weather would have allowed us to open the windows, the noise from the street kept us awake. In the second room, the lights would not stay on when the room card was in the receptacle and the hair dryer did not work.

the lobby is cosy, breakfast room tidy and the atmosphere there pleasant, the staff friendly and helpful. At first very cold, on the 5th floor, the lift not working,lots of dust behind the radiator, otherwise ok,previous time we spent our holiday at this hotel the room was larger.

The only problem we had was with the water in the shower. It would very between hot and cold constantly which made for an uncomfortable shower. You had to adjust the hot and cold taps every minute or so, to stop from scalding or freezing yourself.

I travel very much, have however never seen a bad hotel like this. As is well known, the hotels are usually not that good and more expensive in England, but this Hotel is not acceptable. This is simply deceit in this price category.

Friendly Front Desk

Staff were very attentive at breakfast. Good welcome from doormen and also reception. It might be advisable to inform guests of the need to bbok breakfast times at w/e. We did not get our message as we still had the previous guests on our room number thus causing some confusion over the system. windows did not close properly, therefore very noisy with glass bin emptying in the early hours of the morning.Net curtains need laundering. Message service on phone had not been cleared and allowed me to listen to all the messages of previous occupier - some which were a little dubious to say the least!- I had assumed the red light on the messages meant they were for us.

Very helpful people at the receptions desk, pleasant service in the restaurant. Pleasant room, the taps in the bathroom are the only points that need some improvement. The noise from the street was very bothersome at 6 a.m.

Staff very helpful, friendly yet unobtrusive. Room a bit misleading - described on booking as Executive Double Room, but was basically a standard double room - comfortable but nothing special

the hotel was nicely located. amenities were more than we even needed. breakfast was great! the dryer didnt work, the toilet didnt flush too well and we couldnt master the heater. on calling the front desk, we had a hand dryer delivered immediately though. apparently the toilet was fine according to maintenance. we didnt say anything about the heat though.

Hotel overall standards and service very good for "small" London hotel. Restraunt services and selection good. I would recommend to anyone & consider using it again. Bedroom good; bathroom clean but needs refurbishment; old fittings and omund on shower.

Staff could be more flexible about breakfast times, we had to leave at 7.30am and were not able to have breakfast because the breakfast room was not available for us to use until 8am even though it was all set up. Bathroom could do with an update

My family and I appreciated the superb services by Angela and Andrew at the reception, dining room and bar. Both went out of their way to help us navigate through London and made suggestions on where to go and things to see. Andrew really went above and beyond by making available on short notice and late hour, "White Russians" for my daughter. Hope to see you again. Thanks for a special time.

The location was better than I had anticipated. Easy and safe access walking and a few minutes from Goodge Metro stop. The US dollar against the pound right now complicated the rate equivalencies. The room accommodations well suited our needs for 2 adults and a 13 year old. We were quite pleased with the layout, which included a studio bed for our daughter. The little table with 2 chairs also worked well to sit and plan our travels.
