Recommendation: By Ms.Mary OLeary Ireland Sept 2007 - avoid at all costs, looked like there was nothing done to these rooms since the 80's. we paid €105 for one of the better rooms over looking the pool! it was terrible, shower, sink and toilet were old and grimy, kettle was so old i was afraid ... to put it on, bed covers were worne. it felt unsafe!, there were chains on both the sliding door facing the pool and the main door of the room and signs advising you to make sure you chain the doors before retiring! it was such a dissapointment to stay here, dont fall for it, there is lovely places to stay in cairns, choose somewhere else, its not a place for kids either, its not clean and its a bit slizzy. they didnt have a safety deposit box in the room as the advertised, also when i asked about the bus transfers to the airport i was told they dont run them, even though the bus was parked up outside the door and it was advertised on their website! take my advise, stay else where.
