The hotel property is bit old (but don't mistake for classique/heritage), location is very convenient, right next to Gare Montparnasse (railway stn.), and hordes / variety of restaurants dot all the streets around it. The reception and concierge staff were very helpful, and well versed in English ofcourse. However, the crunch comes in the 'value for money'. The 'cost-cutting' was too evident: no room slippers, no complimentary bottled water, no iron box, no bottle opener.....! Paying over Euro300 per night, you would generally expect little more "aesthetical class" in the hotel decor, some strains of Parisian architectute / glamour, and even in the attire and facilitated services. Frankly, when compared, it was not any different from ordinary 5-star hotel in US where you'd probably pay USD 200 per night for the same.
