What a beautiful beach and surf so near to Singapore! The water is pristine and clear. And of course the excellent food at nearby Sungei Rengit is always an allure to food lovers.

Just a couple of hours' drive away from Singapore one can see the constant thunderous crashing surfs of Desaru. If you love the beach and like to see the incessant pounding of waves, this is the place to go to. Totally relaxing, so you can take your mind off your work for a few days. Dont expect too much in terms of hotel or room amenities but they are ok. Staff are very friendly and honest. Great affordable seafood awaits you if you drive down to Sungei Rengit for dinner.

The Pulai desaru Beach resort i can rate as equal to berjaya tioman beach resort.

THIS IS THE 4TH TIME WE HAVE BEEN TO THE PULAI DESARU BEACH RESORT WE ARE NEVER DISAPPOINTED. THE STAFF ARE ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL. THE MEALS ARE VERY GOOD QUALITY AND QUANTITY. THE ROOMS ARE SPACIOUS AND SOME RENOVATIONS ARE TAKING PLACE. THE GARDENS ARE WELL KEPT AND THE POOLSIDE KEPT CLEAN. WE HAVE NO HESITATION IN TELLING OTHERS ABOUT IT FOR A BREAK AT A REASONABLE COST.

If you want a beach and a pool with helpful staff for a few days - this is the place for you. The rooms were not luxurious, but the main communal areas such as lobby, restaurant, pool were a good standard. The beach is really close and unspoilt. Great for a quick relaxing few days if you are happy to stay within the resort. We really enjoyed it with our 3 kids.

The Pulai Desaru Beach Resort is the best resort in Desaru i guess. So i decided to go for this hotel(seaview) on 2 May. The day after labour day. The staff are very friendly, the room is spacious, the swimming pool are big and we enjoy the beach very much. I wish to highlight something to the management, the room cleanliness are very poor. The hair dryer is not working well, the kids playroom is also very dusty. The food in this hotel are so-so.. We went to the other hotel (Lotus something), more variaty on food, cheap, good ambience. I would recommend this hotel to my friend because it seems like this is the only nice hotel in Desaru, no other choice. Thus, i hope management can improve the maintenance of the resort. Thanks.

The service was top nodge, all the staff were very friendly and courteous. I was allowed to check-in early at around noon after driving in from Singapore. Even after I have effectively checked out after 1pm, I was allowed to continue using their facilities and treated as a guest all the way till 6pm. The only complaint that I have was the room condition, not absolutely clean. I just place a slice of fruit on the room table, the next moment, it was swamped with ants. Air-conditioning for my room was horrible as well. The air-con failed and the technicians were unable to do anything about it. My bed ended up wet the next morning even after I opened my sea-view window.

The toilet flushed continually! The door lock was extremely stiff so hard to lock and unlock The mattress was too soft and we could feel the springs. All problems that the hotel should be solving continually, but maybe people don't report things - we did at the end, so hope the next occupants have the benefit. Nice place, nice staff, nice food so would recommend it to others

The rooms are big and spacious. but our room had alot of ants around the sink and the toilet basin area. they only send someone to the room to spray with insecticide and pass to us the can of insecticide for us to spray if the ants come back. there were already many dead ants on the floor, so it could be the previous occupants also encounter this problem. there might be ant nests somewhere around that area. we booked 3 rooms but only this room had this ants issue, the other 2 rooms are ok. It would be nice if there are more baby chairs in the restaurant. there are alot of families with younger kids staying in the resort so during breakfast time there's always a shortage of baby chairs. Overall, it was a nice stay. if we go to Desaru again, we will still choose to stay in this resort and would recommend to families with children as there are many activities for children there.

The Pulai Desaru Resort is a place for relax and leisure, when i was first step in the lobby, the design of the building is quite romance, the staff were friendly and helpful.

Room is well maintained except that both pillows have a stale sweat smell even though with fresh pillow case. Staff are generally very friendly and responsive compared to other Malaysian hotels. Had a great time chilling out by the beach. Not too crowded. Windy and cloudy on the afternoon of check-in. Windy and sunny on the second morning. Excellent for flying kite.

Meet my expectation for rest and relax. The place may need some sprucing up but for the amount of money paid for lodging is reasonable. The room is spacious and breakfast is acceptable. For lunch and dinner I went to nearby town Bandar Penawar. The meals price at the town is reasonable and it is not far from the hotel. Not much to do there as I went there to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. I went there during the weekdays and I avoid the public holiday and school holidays and therefore the beach is almost empty of people. If you want a place to recuperate and reenergize your energy , I would recommend this hotel.

Room size is excellent. It's really spacious! However, the beds are not consistent, for example, we had 3 single beds, whereas my brother had only 2 single beds. It would be great if the rooms are standardised with 3 beds. The swimming pool and kids play area are really great. The kids love them. The outdoor playground though, needs a bit of maintenance. Overall, it's a great place to stay for short weekend getaway.

Staff went out of their way to be accomodating. Hotel swimming pool is of a good size, and invites you to laze for the afternoon. Early check-in allowed and very appreciated. Overall enjoyed my stay here.
